P&G Korea Appoints Rohini Venkateswaran, Former India Sales Chief, as New CEO

P&G Korea announced Monday the appointment of Rohini Venkateswaran, formerly chief sales officer at P&G India, as its new CEO, effective August 1.

Venkateswaran succeeds Lee Chee-young, who led the Korean unit for four years and will transition to head P&G's skincare business in Greater China. The leadership shuffle reflects the Cincinnati-headquartered consumer goods multinational's continued emphasis on Asia, where skincare and grooming have become increasingly important growth categories for global FMCG companies.

Venkateswaran joined P&G India in 2005 and has since held leadership roles across India, the United States, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region. Her expertise spans sales, market strategy, e-commerce, distribution, and brand management.

She spent over a decade in India overseeing sales, marketing strategy, and brand management, including within the skincare and grooming categories. In her most recent role, she directed P&G India's sales and growth strategy, managing partnerships with major retailers and e-commerce platforms. Her background in digital channels and retail partnerships is relevant to Korea, which ranks among the world's most advanced e-commerce markets.

As CEO of P&G Korea, Venkateswaran will be responsible for the company's local operations and growth strategy.

"Korea is one of P&G's most strategically important markets, distinguished by highly discerning consumers, elevated expectations and rapid market change," Venkateswaran said. "I look forward to understanding their unique needs and delivering meaningful innovation and value while driving sustainable growth in the community."
