Oil States Brasil has secured a three-year contract from Petrobras covering maintenance, technical assistance and intervention support for subsea equipment across the Brazilian state-controlled energy company's offshore operations.

The Macaé-based company said the scope of the agreement includes inspection and testing, preventive and corrective maintenance, installation and intervention work, operational planning, integrity analysis, engineering, spare parts and specialist tooling. The contract also extends to exploration and production (E&P) consortia in which Petrobras participates. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Equipment covered by the contract includes subsea valves, inline tees, PLETs (pipeline end terminations), PLEMs (pipeline end manifolds), MCV and MCA units, RHAS equipment and torque tools based on Oil States technology. Work under the agreement will combine offshore execution with remote and onshore support from the company's Brazilian operations.

Oil States said it has logged 65 subsea operations under this type of work since 2020, including 19 so far in 2026.

The company already has a sizeable Petrobras-facing subsea footprint in Brazil. It is also supplying rigid jumpers through Subsea7 for the Mero 4 and Búzios 8 developments, with 28 units being manufactured and integrated between Macaé and Açu during 2025 and 2026.

The award fits a broader pattern for Petrobras, which relies on a network of service providers to keep subsea infrastructure in working order as output from deepwater fields matures and new pre-salt capacity comes online. Sustained maintenance and intervention work of this kind is a recurring requirement for subsea production systems, and long-cycle contracts such as this one give suppliers multi-year visibility while Petrobras consolidates equipment support under fewer agreements.
