Nuvei and BlackLine Integrate Payments Into Invoice Software

Global fintech firm Nuvei announced Wednesday a new partnership with BlackLine, a finance software provider, to build payment acceptance directly into BlackLine’s invoice system. The companies said the aim is to help businesses get paid faster while reducing manual work.

The partnership is already live with some enterprise customers. It combines BlackLine’s invoicing tools with Nuvei’s payment technology, allowing businesses to accept payment as soon as an invoice is issued and to have that payment automatically matched and reconciled.

Many companies have moved invoicing and accounting into digital platforms, but payments often remain disconnected. According to the companies, that gap can slow collections, increase manual processing, and make it harder for finance teams to maintain clear visibility into cash flow. For enterprise finance teams that handle large invoice volumes and multiple payment methods, reducing those handoffs can also simplify routine close and reconciliation tasks.

By embedding payment tools inside BlackLine’s platform, finance teams can manage invoicing, payments, and reconciliation in one place.

Phil Fayer, Chair and CEO of Nuvei, said payments should operate naturally within the invoice-to-cash process rather than as a separate step. He said the partnership with BlackLine allows Nuvei to bring its payment network directly into the tools finance teams already use.

Andy Liley of BlackLine said finance leaders are facing increasing pressure to improve cash flow while remaining efficient. He said the partnership brings payments and invoicing together in a single system.

Under the new setup, businesses can accept cards, bank transfers, and other payment methods directly from an invoice. Payments are automatically matched to open invoices, removing the need for manual entry. Companies can also track payment status and cash position in real time, and collect money in 150 currencies across more than 190 markets. That broad currency and market support may matter most for companies operating across regions, where invoicing and settlement often span different local payment preferences and accounting workflows.
