Nacha Names Finastra as Preferred Partner for ACH Experience, ISO 20022 and Risk and Fraud Prevention

Nacha has welcomed Finastra as a Nacha Preferred Partner for ACH Experience, ISO 20022, and Risk and Fraud Prevention. Nacha governs the ACH Network, the electronic payment system U.S. financial institutions rely on for direct deposit, bill payment, and business-to-business transfers, while Finastra is a global financial software provider whose technology serves banks and credit unions worldwide.

Finastra's modern ACH solutions, Global PAYplus and Payments To Go, are designed to help financial institutions move from traditional batch processing to a more scalable, resilient, and adaptive operating model. The company said its cloud-native payments platform is built to support the increasing volume and speed of ACH transactions, including the continued expansion of Same Day ACH — which Nacha introduced in 2016 and has extended in phases since then — while maintaining strong operational control and reliability. The partnership comes as banks face pressure to update payments infrastructure originally built for slower, purely batch-based processing.

"The ACH Network, including Same Day ACH, continues to show great strength, as we saw in the first half of 2026, and Nacha believes there is much room for growth," said Jane Larimer, Nacha President and CEO. "Nacha is delighted to welcome Finastra as a Preferred Partner."

"We're proud to be a Nacha Preferred Partner, which reflects our commitment to helping financial institutions modernize one of the most important parts of the U.S. payments system," said Barry Rodrigues, EVP Payments, Finastra. "As ACH volumes and use cases grow, and expectations for seamless integration and resilience increase, financial institutions need solutions that help them scale, automate processes and adapt with confidence. Finastra's market-leading, modern ACH solutions support these priorities by enabling Same Day ACH, ISO 20022 readiness and alignment with evolving Nacha requirements."

The three partnership categories reflect the main forces reshaping ACH processing. ISO 20022 is the structured financial messaging standard now used across major payment systems, including SWIFT's cross-border network and the U.S. instant payment rails RTP and FedNow, making ISO 20022 readiness a common requirement in bank modernization programs. At the same time, Nacha has updated its rules repeatedly in recent years to address unauthorized and fraudulent entries, and risk and fraud prevention has become a standing priority for ACH participants as scam activity across payment channels draws heightened regulatory attention.

Nacha's Preferred Partner Program is open to technology solution providers whose offerings align with Nacha's strategy of advancing the ACH Network.
