Thermal imaging and monitoring solutions company moviTHERM has launched Irley, a new IoT thermal camera designed to flag fire risk, equipment failure and heat-related problems so teams can intervene before issues become costly damage.

moviTHERM said Irley is confirmed to work on solar projects and is intended to do more than temperature monitoring. The IoT thermal camera connects over Ethernet or LTE, allowing it to be deployed in facilities with existing network infrastructure or in remote locations without a wired connection. That makes it relevant for solar sites where equipment can be spread across large areas and where routine visual checks may not be enough to catch abnormal heating early. When Irley detects a problem, it sends an immediate call, text or email so teams can respond quickly.

In addition to helping teams identify problems early, Irley is designed to support post-incident review and documentation. Each alert and event is automatically compiled into a documented record, giving teams a concrete reference point. For operators managing multiple assets or coordinating safety, maintenance and insurance workflows, that record can help centralize information already being generated by the monitoring system. Facilities with a documented history of monitoring and alerts may also be in a stronger position when working with insurers, providing risk and safety teams with a clearer record to point to when needed.
