Morph Payments Expands Stablecoin Platform With Solana and TRON Support

Morph Payments, a stablecoin payment platform built for small and medium-sized merchants, has announced a significant expansion of its services. The platform now supports USDC and USDT on Solana and USDT on TRON, alongside new payment features designed to make stablecoins easier to use in everyday business transactions. USDT and USDC are US dollar-pegged stablecoins, digital tokens designed to maintain a stable value against the US dollar, and they rank among the largest such assets by market value.

The update builds on Morph Payments' initial launch in August, when the platform debuted as a non-custodial solution allowing businesses, freelancers and globally distributed organisations to accept, send and manage stablecoin payments. Non-custodial platforms do not take custody of user funds, meaning businesses retain direct control over the assets they receive.

Stablecoins have steadily extended their reach beyond trading into ordinary financial activity, from paying international suppliers to receiving funds from customers and clients worldwide. However, enabling an onchain transaction alone is not enough to make stablecoins practical for commercial purposes. Companies require payment infrastructure that matches how they and their customers already store, transfer and oversee funds.

Under the previous setup, anyone paying into a Morph Payments account was required to connect a wallet to the platform before proceeding. Following the update, a payer can instead select a standard transfer option, copy the payment address and send the required amount from any compatible wallet or cryptocurrency exchange account. For customers who already hold USDC or USDT on an exchange, this removes the step of moving stablecoins into a separate self-custodial wallet solely to complete a payment.

From the merchant's perspective, the change makes it possible to accept stablecoin payments from a wider customer base, while payment activity continues to be monitored through the Morph Payments dashboard.

“For stablecoin payments to become part of everyday business, we need to stop expecting customers to understand the infrastructure underneath them. If someone already has USDT in an exchange account, making a payment shouldn't require them to move it into another wallet, connect that wallet and then start the payment process,” said Renna Ba, Head of Ecosystem at Morph, in a written statement.

“Our approach is to meet businesses and their customers where they already are, support the stablecoins and networks they use, make the payment itself simple, and give merchants the tools they need to manage what happens afterwards,” she added.

Network Expansion Reflects Multi-Chain Business Operations

The addition of Solana and TRON increases the number of networks accessible through Morph Payments. Businesses using the platform can now offer customers greater choice in how they pay, instead of requiring them to transfer stablecoins onto a specific network before transacting. Solana is a network frequently used for applications where transaction speed and cost are key considerations.

TRON has emerged as one of the most widely used networks globally for USDT transfers, with notable adoption across emerging markets in Latin America and Southeast Asia. Its capacity to support high-volume, comparatively low-cost USDT transfers makes it especially relevant for small and medium-sized enterprises collecting cross-border payments from customers and business partners.

The expansion aligns with Morph's wider assessment that companies will increasingly operate across multiple stablecoins and networks, much as they currently function across different currencies and banking systems.

Alongside the new payment features, Morph has introduced an enhanced Morph Payments Help Centre, offering businesses, payers and other users a central reference point for understanding and operating the platform. As stablecoin payments reach audiences with varying degrees of familiarity with digital assets, clear and practical guidance forms a key component of improving accessibility. The Help Centre provides information to help users navigate Morph Payments and its features, supporting the platform's objective of eliminating needless complexity from sending and receiving stablecoins.

Additional capabilities are planned as Morph develops the product into a broader platform for companies operating in an increasingly multi-stablecoin economy. More information is available on the official Morph website.
