The product enters a growing field where technology and financial services companies are racing to give AI assistants the ability to complete transactions, not just answer questions, moving conversational AI from an advisory tool into a direct payments interface.

Connecting Conversational Tools With Payments

Users install PayBox as a custom connector inside ChatGPT or Claude, then create an account, register a passkey, and add a wallet or payment card. MoonPay requires identity verification when users fund the vault through a linked card.

The service supports crypto purchases, token swaps, asset transfers, and decentralized finance activity, as well as travel bookings, restaurant reservations, and purchases from participating online retailers. Each request begins with a plain-language instruction submitted through the connected assistant, which researches available options and prepares the requested payment or blockchain transaction.

Under the default approval model, the user confirms each action using a registered passkey. Alternatively, autonomous settings allow transactions within limits selected by the account holder.

Split Keys and Transaction Controls

PayBox stores payment methods without exposing complete card or wallet credentials to the connected assistant. MoonPay protects wallet keys through multi-party computation (MPC) and trusted execution environments, ensuring no single system can independently access the full key or approve transfers.
