Meta Platforms shares (NASDAQ: META) were trading near $768, up more than 3% in the latest session and within 4% of their historical peak. The stock has gained approximately 25% since the company introduced its Muse artificial intelligence technology earlier this month, bringing it close to its previous high from August of last year.
The move followed a series of product announcements at Meta’s Connect developer conference, the company’s annual showcase for new hardware and software, held this week. Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg presented expanded Muse capabilities that will allow users to interact with the assistant through Meta’s smart eyewear instead of relying solely on text-based app inputs.
Meta also introduced camera-free smart glasses with all-day battery life, a thinner and lighter design, and a Ray-Ban Clubmaster-style frame.

The company also outlined Muse Charm, a pendant-style version of the assistant that is scheduled for release before the end of the year. Together with the eyewear integration, the announcements show Muse extending across multiple wearable form factors and underscore Meta’s emphasis on voice-activated artificial intelligence as part of its product expansion.
Analysts Raise Meta Price Targets
JPMorgan raised its price target for Meta from $820 to $920 after the conference. The firm’s research team described Muse as potentially capable of achieving the broadest consumer AI adoption since OpenAI launched ChatGPT.
Morgan Stanley maintained its Overweight rating and increased its price objective to $775. Its analysts cited Meta’s 81.75% gross margin as giving the company flexibility to offer competitive transaction fees as it develops its commerce platform.
Cantor Fitzgerald also raised its target, setting it at $860 compared with $680 previously. KeyBanc increased its target from $780 to $900 and identified Muse’s development as a meaningful potential revenue catalyst.
Walmart, Best Buy, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Gap Join Muse Integrations
Meta announced Muse shopping integrations with Walmart, Best Buy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Gap. The arrangements are designed to let customers complete purchases within the AI interface without switching platforms.
Morgan Stanley said the partnerships could streamline the process from product discovery to purchase. The investment bank also said competitive commission structures could pressure rivals such as Google to offer similarly favorable terms to merchants.
Amazon was identified in analyst commentary as a possible future participant. Morgan Stanley said Walmart’s involvement could increase the likelihood that Amazon eventually joins the ecosystem to preserve its competitive position in AI-powered commerce.
The commercial arrangements with the retailers still require finalization. Issues involving data governance, merchant responsibilities, and compatibility with loyalty programs will be addressed separately with each partner, meaning the in-assistant checkout experience described at the conference has not yet gone live.
New Smart Glasses and Virtual Reality Headset
In addition to the software announcements, Meta presented updated smart-glasses hardware. One model removes the cameras entirely and provides audio-only functionality, directly addressing privacy concerns associated with earlier camera-equipped versions.
Meta also announced a premium virtual reality headset priced at $1,299 and scheduled to debut next spring. The device will include exclusive 3D content arrangements with Amazon Prime Video and Disney’s ESPN platforms.
Despite the positive attention surrounding Muse, InvestingPro’s valuation frameworks indicate that Meta shares may be trading above fair value. The stock finished the week within 4% of its historical peak.
