LG Electronics Widens US Premium Appliance Push as LG Signature Marks 10 Years

LG Electronics is broadening its premium appliance lineup and retail footprint across the United States as its luxury brand, LG Signature, marks a decade on the market, the company said Sunday.

The South Korean electronics maker said it aims to deepen its position in North America's premium and built-in appliance segments by expanding its kitchen portfolio, widening retail availability and adding artificial intelligence features. At the decade mark, the brand is being positioned as a multi-category premium line rather than a single flagship product, with the kitchen serving as the focal point of the expansion — a segment where built-in appliances are integrated into cabinetry and typically carry higher price points than freestanding models.

The brand's kitchen lineup now spans 10 product categories, including ranges, wall ovens, range hoods and cooktops. LG has also introduced three design styles aimed at different consumer preferences. The Iconic collection pairs metallic finishes with gold accents, while Tailored comes in a range of colors to match individual tastes. The Seamless line features flush-fitting appliances that sit flush with surrounding cabinetry without protruding elements.

The company has also embedded AI-powered functions across its. Its Gourmet AI-equipped oven range uses an internal camera to recognize ingredients, recommend recipes and alert users according to the level of browning during cooking.

To mark the anniversary, LG hosted a gala Thursday at the Guggenheim Museum in New York under the theme "What's Your Signature?" The event brought together figures from the arts, media and entertainment industries, including LG Electronics North America chief Kwak Do-young. It featured displays of new Signature appliances, a chocolate-making demonstration by chocolatier Amaury Guichon and a performance by singer-songwriter John Mayer.

The company's premium laundry products also drew outside recognition. US consumer publication Consumer Reports placed LG's Signature washer and dryer set on its list of the 15 best washer-dryer sets of 2026. According to LG, the Signature washer model WM9900HSA scored 87, the highest among more than 100 products evaluated, with the publication assessing factors including performance, energy efficiency and reliability. For a brand working to deepen its standing in the US premium tier, an independent top score provides the kind of third-party validation that in-house claims alone cannot.

"We will continue to offer North American consumers differentiated experiences through a premium lineup that combines sophisticated design with AI-powered convenience," Kwak said.

How extensively the expanded kitchen range reaches US showroom floors will be one visible measure of how the decade-old brand's premium push progresses.
