LG Electronics Global Communications Chief Lea Lee Honored at 2026 Asia-Pacific Sabre Awards

Lea Lee, head of global communications at LG Electronics, has been recognized for outstanding individual achievement at the 2026 Asia-Pacific Sabre Awards, after leading the company's communications work around its India initial public offering and an artificial intelligence-based media system.

The award, presented by PRovoke Media in Singapore, honored Lee's oversight of LG Electronics' global communications strategy, including executive positioning, corporate transactions and media analysis. The Sabres — short for Superior Achievement in Branding and Reputation — are among the public relations industry's longest-running regional awards programs, with editions covering the Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific, and the individual achievement categories are typically reserved for communications leaders whose work has shaped a company's global reputation over several years rather than a single campaign.

Among the projects highlighted this year was Prism AI, an in-house communications intelligence platform developed together with LG Electronics' AX Center, the unit responsible for the company's AI transformation. The system uses large language models and deep learning to analyze media coverage across some 200 markets and 30 brands, tracking millions of news articles and converting the data into metrics and reports for communications teams and management. In-house tools of this kind have become a growing focus for large corporate communications functions, which face rising volumes of coverage across languages and markets and increasingly rely on AI-assisted analysis to keep pace.

Prism AI separately won the award for best AI tool or product at the 2026 IN2 Sabre Awards Asia-Pacific and was named a finalist in the category for consumer electronics & telecommunications. The IN2 Sabres run alongside the main Sabre program and recognize insight- and innovation-driven work in communications, including the use of data and technology.

Lee said the award reflected not only individual efforts, but also the opportunities created by LG Electronics' broader push into AI transformation and major overseas projects.

"I have been fortunate to be part of transformative milestones such as LG Electronics' India IPO and the company's AI transformation journey, supported by outstanding teams both inside and outside the organization," Lee said.

"While this award recognizes individual achievement, I view it as a testament to LG Electronics' commitment to authentic and meaningful communication on the global stage. I am deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to that journey."

Lee's team managed global communications for the IPO of LG Electronics India, handling messaging around the listing and the subsidiary's role as a key manufacturing and export base. The Indian unit listed on the country's stock exchanges in 2025 in one of the largest Indian market debuts by a Korean parent company, reflecting the strategic weight LG Electronics places on India as both a market and a production hub.

Before joining LG Electronics, Lee worked at Edelman Korea and Hill & Knowlton, where she handled corporate reputation and communications for multinational clients. Both firms rank among the world's largest public relations networks, giving her prior experience with global accounts before moving in-house to lead LG Electronics' communications on the corporate side.
