Curtis Ingraham said he was left with "no more words" after his sister, Fox News host Laura Ingraham, was seen making faces behind Dr. Anthony Fauci during a Senate hearing on Wednesday.

The hearing was held before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, chaired by Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), who had subpoenaed Fauci to testify. According to CNN, Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment — his constitutional right against self-incrimination — more than 100 times. The proceedings are part of a broader congressional effort to scrutinize the federal pandemic response, an investigation that has pitted Republican lawmakers against Fauci over questions about COVID-19 origins, gain-of-function research, and public health mandates.

Laura Ingraham, a longtime critic of Fauci and host of the primetime program The Ingraham Angle, was seated directly behind him and was visible over his shoulder throughout the proceedings, at times rolling her eyes, shaking her head, and making facial expressions.

The Daily Show was first to highlight the moment, posting a supercut that accumulated 1.2 million views. "Watching Laura Ingraham make faces at Fauci's hearing while listening to Laura Ingraham complain about other people making faces," the program wrote on X.

The clip juxtaposed footage of Ingraham's expressions with audio from her own previous broadcasts. "Her little charade for the cameras isn't just an example of conduct that is boorish and rude, arrogant and rude, always performing for the cameras," Ingraham's own voice could be heard saying as the footage played. Another segment showed her taking a selfie at the hearing, overlaid with audio of her mocking others for doing the same.

"There simply are no more words!" Curtis Ingraham, a Northern California teacher, wrote on X, linking to coverage of the clip. He added: "Laura, shouldn't you be focused on those Epstein files instead of lurking behind @Dr_AnthonyFauci hoping for spin-worthy tidbits?!"

Days before the hearing, the committee had released more than 1,100 pages of what it described as Fauci's personal diary, in which Fauci reportedly grouped Laura Ingraham with "all of the stooges" at Fox News. She attended the hearing regardless and continued her criticism afterward.

"What you saw from Fauci was a little man with a big ego and… deeply insecure," she told her Fox News audience that evening.

"Umm, if my memory serves me correctly, Laura, weren't you one of the early birds to receive the Covid vaccine that @Dr_AnthonyFauci helped spearhead?!" Curtis Ingraham wrote on X the following day.

The strained relationship between the siblings is not new. Curtis Ingraham, who has used social media to publicly challenge his sister's politics for years, gave a blunt assessment of her to The Daily Beast in 2018. "I think she's a monster," he said. "She's very smart, she's well spoken, but her emotional heart is just kind of dead. And you see it in her face when you see her on TV. She's ready to destroy."

Laura Ingraham pushed back at the time, calling the remarks "false and hurtful." She stated: "Although we've been estranged from him for many years, we love our brother and miss him very much."

The Hill reported that the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee has scheduled a vote next week on whether to hold Fauci in contempt of Congress for refusing to testify. A contempt referral, if approved, would escalate the long-running clash between congressional Republicans and the former NIAID director, potentially setting up a referral to the Justice Department.
