Kraken has expanded its offering to include more than 7,000 U.S.-listed stocks for eligible customers throughout the European Economic Area (EEA), bringing traditional equities onto the same platform as crypto assets and tokenized shares.
According to Kraken, eligible EEA users can access the new stock trading service through Kraken Pro on desktop and mobile, as well as through the mobile app. The rollout is operated under MiFID II authorization by Payward Europe Digital Solutions (CY) Limited, which is part of Kraken’s European investment services division.
The company said qualifying customers can trade the newly added U.S. stocks without fees, subject to certain conditions and eligibility requirements. Kraken also said the service is designed to reduce the need for users to split holdings across separate stock and crypto exchanges, a friction point as more platforms try to combine traditional and digital assets in one account.

Alongside the new stock offering, Kraken said users can trade more than 600 crypto assets and more than 700 xStocks within a single account. xStocks are tokenized stocks that Kraken said are fully backed 1:1 by their underlying assets.
Unlike traditional shares, xStocks can be transferred to self-custody wallets and integrated with onchain applications. Kraken also said tokenized shares can be traded outside regular public market hours, creating a different access and settlement model from conventional equity trading.
The company said aggregate transaction volume for xStocks has now exceeded $38 billion since launch. Kraken described that figure as evidence of the growing role of tokenized equities within its broader multi-asset platform.
The exchange said the new launch reflects its plan to offer crypto, stocks, and tokenized assets within a single trading environment rather than requiring customers to move between multiple venues. Kraken also said it intends to expand its fully integrated stock offering into additional markets in the coming months.
Access to the EEA rollout remains subject to eligibility requirements and the legal framework governing investment services in Europe, Kraken said.
