KonsultaMD, the digital healthcare platform operated by Metro Pacific Health Tech Corp., has entered into a partnership with Healthway Medical Network to deliver medical consultation services to more than 12,000 employees of the Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK).
Under the arrangement announced in a statement on Tuesday, LANDBANK staff will be able to use the KonsultaMD application to schedule annual medical examinations and consult with physicians about their test results and any recommended follow-up care. The program also grants employees round-the-clock access to licensed general practitioners, along with mental health consultations that extend beyond the annual examination cycle.
Florence Pacia, KonsultaMD's head of business-to-business services, said the partnership enables employees to seek medical guidance after receiving their examination results.
“Healthcare should not begin and end with an annual medical examination,” Ms. Pacia said.
LANDBANK President and Chief Executive Officer Lynette Ortiz said the program gives employees access to medical consultations covering both their physical and mental health. Edwin Magsino, chief operating officer of Healthway Multi-Specialty Centers and Corporate Health Solutions, added that the arrangement offers LANDBANK employees additional options for obtaining healthcare services.
The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the agreement or its duration.
The partnership comes amid expectations of higher employer-sponsored healthcare costs in the Philippines. Professional services firm Aon has projected a 14% increase in medical plan costs in the country in 2026, compared with a projected general inflation rate of 2.9%, according to KonsultaMD. If borne out, that would put the projected rise in medical plan costs at nearly five times the pace of general inflation.
