Kolmar Korea has become the first Korean cosmetics company to take part in Premiere Vision Paris, presenting its K-beauty technology and color cosmetics at one of the world's leading trade shows for fashion materials. The milestone reflects how K-beauty suppliers are increasingly looking beyond beauty-industry fairs to reach fashion and luxury buyers directly.
The event, held in Paris from Tuesday through Thursday, gathered more than 900 companies across eight specialized sections spanning yarns, fabrics, design, accessories, leather and smart creation.
This year's edition introduced the Cosmetic Village, a 150-square-meter exhibition space created to encourage collaboration between the fashion and beauty industries, where ten beauty companies presented their products and technologies. The new dedicated space signals that organizers see beauty as a growing adjacency for fashion trade shows, where brand positioning increasingly spans apparel, accessories and cosmetics.
Under the theme "Beauty Meets Fashion," Kolmar Korea showcased 27 colors inspired by Premiere Vision's fall-winter 2027-28 trends, alongside its color cosmetics and related technologies. Aligning shades with forecasted fashion-season trends is a common practice in color cosmetics development, where suppliers pitch palettes to brands planning collections well ahead of retail launches.
Representatives from global fashion and luxury brands created their own color combinations and sampled Kolmar Korea's lip products. Visitors also expressed interest in products that combine a broad color palette with fashion-inspired concepts.
Kolmar Korea is a cosmetics original development manufacturer (ODM), a business model in which firms develop and produce products that brands then market under their own names — a segment where Korean suppliers have become significant global players.
"The exhibition gave us an opportunity to introduce our technology and color cosmetics development capabilities to the global market," a Kolmar Korea official said. "We will continue strengthening our expertise and applying new technologies to develop differentiated products."
