The four-piece band IV of Spades captured the top prizes at this year's Awit Awards, winning Song of the Year for “Aura” and Album of the Year for Andalucia. The ceremony was held on Sept. 15 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. The band added a third honor to its haul when the track “Monster” took home Best Sound Engineered Recording.

Although IV of Spades secured the evening's headline awards, SB19 and Dionela walked away with more trophies than any other performers. SB19 won Best Dance/Electronic Recording, Best Pop Recording, and Best Music Video for “Dungka,” while the group's Pablo, alongside Radkidz, earned Songwriter of the Year. Dionela collected four trophies for “Ikigai,” featuring Loonie, taking Best R&B Recording, Best Rap/Hiphop Recording, Best Collaboration, and Best Vocal Arrangement.

The Awit Awards are presented by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry, Inc. (PARI), which “recognizes the artists, creators, and works that continue to shape the nation's sound.” Because the trophies are handed out by the country's record industry association, they represent recognition from within the industry itself. This year's winners list spans 34 categories, running from pop, R&B, rap, and rock to jazz, folk, world music, and regional recordings, with additional honors for behind-the-scenes craft in songwriting, production, engineering, arranging, cover art, and music videos.
