Instant Financial, the fintech company modernizing payments and earned wage access for hourly workers and their employers, has expanded its Financial Wellness Platform through a new partnership with Insurify, America's top-rated online insurance marketplace.
The new benefit empowers employees to compare personalized auto insurance quotes from multiple carriers. According to the companies, comparing through Insurify can cut car insurance bills by up to 50%. The service is available directly within the Instant app: employees can click through to Insurify's dedicated comparison experience, enter a few details about their vehicle and driving history, and compare personalized quotes in minutes.
The offering arrives as financial stress remains a significant challenge for hourly workers. Instant Financial's 2026 State of America's Hourly Workers Report found that 62% of hourly workers have relied on costly financial workarounds — such as payday loans, overdraft fees or buy now, pay later late fees — in the past three months, while 82% say employers should provide more financial wellness benefits beyond simply paying employees on time. The focus on auto insurance also lands amid a multiyear run-up in coverage costs: U.S. auto insurance prices have ranked among the fastest-rising household expenses, with the Labor Department's consumer price index recording double-digit annual increases in 2023 and 2024. Because rates vary widely by carrier, driver profile and state — and coverage is legally required for drivers in nearly every U.S. state — comparing quotes across insurers is one of the few direct levers consumers have for reducing that recurring cost.
"Helping employees get paid faster is only one part of improving financial wellness," said Tal Clark, CEO of Instant Financial. "Just as important is helping them keep more of what they earn. Auto insurance is one of the largest monthly expenses for many working Americans. By adding Insurify to our Financial Wellness Platform, we're giving employees an easy way to compare rates and potentially reduce that expense."
Originally launched in 2025, Instant's Financial Wellness Platform provides employees with access to a curated suite of financial tools designed to improve long-term financial health. In addition to earned wage access, digital tips and instant payments, the platform includes:
- Financial education through Visa's Practical Money Skills
- Health and wellbeing benefits through Welcome Tech
- High-yield savings accounts and credit-building products through Engine by MoneyLion
- Free rent reporting through Self
- Auto insurance comparison through Insurify
The widening toolkit reflects a broader shift in the earned wage access sector, where providers have increasingly moved beyond early pay to bundle savings, credit-building and education features as they compete to serve hourly workers' day-to-day financial needs rather than a single payroll moment.
"Our mission has always been to make insurance shopping simple, transparent and affordable," said Jackie LoVerme, vice president of strategic partnerships at Insurify. "We're excited to partner with Instant Financial to help hourly workers easily compare personalized quotes from leading insurers and find coverage that fits both their needs and their budgets."
The announcement builds on Instant's broader mission of helping employers create a more modern payroll experience. The company now powers earned wage access, instant payments, digital tips and financial wellness tools for employers across the restaurant, retail, hospitality, healthcare and other hourly workforce industries, helping employees access billions in earned wages and digital tips.
