Monthly volume reached $186.5 million in July 2026 before rising to $209.7 million in August, which was 3.4 times May’s total.

SEC Moves Toward Regulated Stock Perpetuals

Injective said the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is officially looking to clear firms to enable regulated stock perpetuals in the United States. The company described the development as a turning point for American markets and said it could help bring financial innovation back to the country.

Injective said the SEC’s move reverses a decade-long trend during which liquidity, talent, and builders moved overseas as U.S. rules lagged behind global markets. The company also welcomed regulated firms such as Kalshi entering the market for digital assets and stocks, framing the development as evidence that U.S. oversight can keep pace with onchain finance.

Injective has settled onchain perpetual markets since 2021, a longer operating history than most rivals in the sector. The network has processed more than $81 billion in combined trading volume across RWAs, stocks, and crypto. Each trade is handled through a fully onchain order book that can be verified in real time.

Injective Institutional Services is registered with the SEC as a transfer agent. The company said this makes Injective the first layer-1 blockchain with an affiliated SEC-registered transfer agent and supports its broader effort to bring regulated securities onchain.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has also cleared U.S.-regulated futures for INJ in recent months. Those contracts now trade on the Bitnomial exchange, which is also set to offer securities futures products. Injective said the approval builds on years of work involving perpetual markets and tokenization.

At the protocol level, Injective manages the order book, matching, settlement, margin, and liquidation processes. The company said this allows new applications to use the same markets without rebuilding the underlying infrastructure.
