Infinix Niger has officially unveiled the GT 50 Pro, a gaming-focused flagship positioned as the centerpiece of the company’s expanding New GT Ecosystem. The smartphone brings together three areas that Infinix identifies as Physical Refinement, Thermal Sovereignty and Intelligent Optimization, with the stated aim of reducing the limitations that the smartphone form factor can impose on competitive gaming.

The GT 50 Pro introduces Infinix’s HydroFlow Liquid Cooling Architecture, a thermal system designed to address overheating through heat dissipation and active coolant circulation. The phone also serves as the central device for Infinix’s connected New GT Ecosystem, which includes gaming accessories and AIoT peripherals. By combining dedicated controls, cooling hardware and gaming software in one device, Infinix is targeting mobile players who want features associated with a more specialized gaming setup without leaving the smartphone format.

Physical refinement: pressure-sensitive controls and hypercar-inspired design

The GT 50 Pro combines what Infinix describes as the first Open-Cut Pressure-Sense GT Trigger with a hypercar-inspired design. The GT Trigger system consists of two dual-pressure mechanical triggers intended to provide more tactile control for mobile games and support advanced techniques such as “claw grip” play.

The triggers use dual-stage pressure sensing for light presses, heavy presses and sliding inputs. Each trigger offers up to four adjustable mapping points and 10 pressure levels, allowing users to customize controls. Infinix says latency is below 20ms and that the triggers are built to withstand more than 3 million presses.

The company says the system can support aiming, skill activation and weapon switching in popular games. During gameplay, sliding both triggers inward can activate functions including screenshots, screen recording, Select & Search, memory cleanup and Off-screen Gaming mode. The same gesture can summon the Folax AI assistant for access to information and actions through natural-language input.

GT Trigger shortcuts also support app launches, video playback controls and lighting adjustments. In the camera application, single taps and long presses can capture standard or burst photos or start video recording, while the lower-right trigger can be used for sliding zoom.

The GT 50 Pro’s design draws on high-speed and high-precision themes associated with hypercar engineering. Its transparent Pipeline Window Display shows liquid coolant moving through the cooling system. Infinix has paired that feature with clean lines, aerodynamic details and a kevlar-inspired finish.

The phone is available in Black Abyss, Red Blaze and Silver Glacier. Its Mechanical Light Waves system uses dynamic RGB lighting, including four crosshair LED strips around the visible cooling window. The lighting system offers 14 scenarios and eight customizable colors for gaming and everyday use.

Thermal sovereignty: liquid cooling and wireless bypass charging

Infinix says the GT 50 Pro uses micro-pump liquid cooling to cover 100% of its core heat sources. The system maintains a direct connection between thermally intensive components and the liquid cooling network, drawing heat away from those areas during demanding workloads.

The cooling system has a diaphragm area of 6437mm², which Infinix describes as the industry’s largest micro-pump liquid-cooling system. Precision channels etched with micron-level laser accuracy connect the cooling surface and are designed to optimize coolant flow.

A piezoelectric-driven ceramic heat pump circulates specially formulated coolant at 6.5ml per minute. Infinix says the pump is the first of its kind in the industry and is intended to maintain performance and frame rates during extended, high-intensity gaming sessions.

The GT 50 Pro is also compatible with the GT Magcharge Cooler 2.0. When used with the phone, the accessory provides what Infinix describes as the industry’s first wireless bypass charging system. It routes power directly to the computing chipset rather than through the battery, which the company says can help extend battery life and reduce temperatures during peak performance.

The bypass design avoids an additional energy-conversion step and is intended to limit excess heat while supporting sustained performance without throttling. The cooler also actively refrigerates the phone’s resource-intensive components, with 12 watts of active thermoelectric refrigeration.

Intelligent optimization and gaming software

The GT 50 Pro’s software features include Hardcore Esports Mode, Native 144FPS¹ support and AI² tools built into XOS 16. Infinix is also continuing its collaboration with global game publishers through the GT Gaming Co-Lab.

The collaboration has produced features such as the AI Frame Rescue Engine and Game Thermal Control Engine, which are designed to reduce frame drops and maintain smooth performance at high frame rates.

Hardcore Esports Mode changes the phone into a gaming-focused configuration with a redesigned user interface, gaming wallpapers and animations, and automatic blocking of system gestures and notifications. Infinix says the mode is intended to reduce distractions during high-intensity sessions.

Native 144FPS¹ technology is certified for six major esports titles, including Call of Duty: Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Free Fire and other games. Infinix says the feature delivers high frame rates and faster response on the hardware level rather than relying on techniques that only increase the appearance of smoothness. The company also says the phone supports ranked competitive play, including leading official tournaments.

The GT 50 Pro’s XOS 16 software includes AI² features intended to automate certain actions and enhance controls. AI Smart Trigger can execute preset actions such as auto-reloading and combo moves. AI Voice Prompt provides real-time vocal cues, including alerts about a shrinking battle zone, while AI ZoneTouch Master identifies on-screen controls and adjusts touch response for low latency and precision.

AI Magic Voice Changer offers 25 voice tones with customizable adjustments for in-game communication. Folax 5.0 also includes Instant Trigger Access, allowing users to open gaming-related information without leaving a session by sliding both shoulder keys inward.

Infinix says the GT 50 Pro will receive three years of OS version updates and five years of security patches.

Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset and battery

The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate, which uses a 4nm all-big-core architecture. The chipset introduces the MediaTek Frame Rate Converter (MFRC), a GPU frame-interpolation technology designed to produce smoother gameplay without compromising visual fidelity.

The processor runs at up to 3.25GHz. Infinix says the GT 50 Pro achieves an AnTuTu score of more than 2,224,634³, representing a 26.45%³ increase over the GT 30 Pro.

The phone includes a high-density battery with capacity of up to 6500mAh⁴. Its charging system supports 45W wired charging and 30W wireless charging. Wired reverse charging provides up to 10W for accessories such as earbuds.

Connectivity is managed in part by Infinix’s in-house N1 network management chip. Infinix says the chip provides a 60%³ stronger signal to support low ping times and reduce lag during gameplay.

Display and multimedia features

The GT 50 Pro has a 6.78-inch 1.5K ultra-clear display with a peak brightness of 4500 nits and full coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. For visual comfort, the panel supports 2304Hz PWM dimming and has TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification.

The Motion Sickness Relief Display is designed to detect and compensate for real-world movement, with the aim of improving comfort when users are viewing content while traveling or moving. The screen is protected by Corning® Gorilla® Glass 7i.

The panel supports five refresh rates from 30Hz to 144Hz⁵. The range is intended to provide high frame rates in supported games while reducing power use during less demanding tasks.

The phone supports Dolby Atmos immersive audio, an object-based 3D audio technology that can create directional sound in supported content. Infinix specifically cites PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty: Mobile. Users can select Smart, Movie, Gaming⁶ and Music modes to adjust the audio output for different types of content.

AI RAW photography

The GT 50 Pro includes a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and electronic image stabilization (EIS). An 8MP ultrawide camera is designed for wider scenes, while the front-facing camera has a 13MP sensor.

Infinix’s AI RAW algorithm is intended to improve color accuracy and image clarity through signal processing. The phone also includes AI Studio and Live Photo mode for editing images and capturing movement and candid moments.

The New GT Ecosystem

Infinix is expanding the New GT Ecosystem with accessories designed to work alongside the GT 50 Pro. The GTBUDS 5 earbuds support Dolby Atmos, sub-50ms latency, a 360° panoramic soundstage and 50dB hybrid active noise cancellation. Infinix says these features are intended to improve spatial awareness and help users identify sounds such as approaching footsteps during gameplay.

The GTWATCH 5 Pro can operate as a secondary screen, helping users manage notifications without interrupting play. It includes an independent GNSS positioning chip and professional-grade sports algorithms, along with AI-driven health and fitness analytics, automatic workout detection and Bluetooth heart-rate broadcasting.

Infinix also announced the GT Game Controller. The controller is designed to improve ergonomics and work with the phone’s internal vibration motor to provide more detailed and powerful haptic feedback.

Pricing and availability

The Infinix GT 50 Pro is available in Nigeria through Jumia in Black Abyss, Red Blaze and Silver Glacier. Storage options include 256GB and 512GB. Every model has 12GB of RAM and up to 12GB of toggleable RAM expansion.
