From a small position to more than 1,100 BTC
Hyperscale Data increased its Bitcoin position from about 11 BTC in early 2025 to more than 1,000 BTC in roughly 18 months. By March 2026, the company held approximately 627.9 BTC. In early July, it bought 67 BTC, followed shortly by another 50.65 BTC, lifting its holdings to 899.65 BTC. By July 21, the total had reached 1,087.45 BTC. One week later, the latest 18.59 BTC purchase pushed the treasury above 1,100 BTC.
The company’s accumulation strategy combines open-market purchases with Bitcoin mining outputs, giving it multiple ways to add to its treasury without relying entirely on market timing. That mix also helps explain why the treasury can continue to grow even as the company’s operating focus remains on AI infrastructure and high-performance computing.
Todd Ault’s treasury strategy
Executive Chairman Milton “Todd” Ault III has described Bitcoin as a core treasury asset intended to improve financial flexibility across the company’s operations. Management has linked the Bitcoin strategy to Hyperscale Data’s broader plans in AI infrastructure, robotics, and high-performance computing. The company has also said it aims to reach a $100 million Bitcoin treasury.
Alongside its Bitcoin holdings, Hyperscale Data also maintains 10,000 ounces of silver.
Part of a broader corporate trend
Hyperscale Data is one of a growing number of public companies treating Bitcoin as a treasury reserve asset. The approach was popularized by MicroStrategy, now known as Strategy, which began accumulating Bitcoin in 2020 and now holds hundreds of thousands of BTC.
Hyperscale Data’s dual role as an AI data center operator and Bitcoin accumulator creates a common operational theme, since both activities depend on large-scale compute infrastructure and access to low-cost power. The company’s July buying spree, which took place during a period of generally elevated Bitcoin prices, indicates it has continued building its position regardless of short-term price movements.
