Amplia (ASX: ATX)

Amplia rose after confirming a clinical trial collaboration and supply agreement with Eli Lilly & Company. The agreement will evaluate Amplia's investigational FAK inhibitor narmafotinib in combination with Lilly's late-stage investigational next-generation KRAS inhibitor olomorasib.

The collaboration targets NSCLC (non-small cell lung cancer), the most common form of lung cancer and an area of intense pharmaceutical R&D competition. KRAS mutations are among the most prevalent oncogenic drivers in NSCLC, historically considered difficult to drug, making combination approaches with FAK inhibition a closely watched therapeutic strategy.

CEO and Managing Director Dr Chris Burns said the collaboration extends narmafotinib beyond pancreatic and ovarian cancer into NSCLC, broadening Amplia's clinical footprint and addressable opportunity.

"This collaboration is an exciting new stage in the progression of narmafotinib. We and others have shown that the combination of FAK and KRAS inhibition can lead to improved outcomes, and we are excited to advance with this clinical study to explore the combination potential with olomorasib, Lilly's leading KRAS G12C inhibitor currently undergoing two global phase three studies in NSCLC," Dr Burns said.

ATX was up 7.41% to 14.5¢ at the time of publication.

Future Metals (ASX: FME)

Future Metals has commenced an updated scoping study for the Panton platinum group metals (PGM) project in Western Australia. The study builds on the previously released 2023 scoping study and work undertaken by the company over the last six months.

The updated study will evaluate two possible development pathways: a standalone greenfield mining and processing infrastructure at the Panton project site, and mining at Panton with material transported for processing at the existing Savannah site.

The Panton project sits within Western Australia's Kimberley region, positioning it among a limited number of PGM-dominant deposits in Australia. PGMs — including platinum, palladium and rhodium — are critical inputs for automotive catalytic converters and emerging hydrogen electrolyser technologies.

Managing Director Keith Bowes said the updated scoping study represents an important step in defining a practical and capital-efficient development pathway for Panton.

"Our recent mineral resource estimate, along with our strategic review, the Savannah engineering assessment, and the exclusivity agreement signed with Zeta, have provided the company with good optionality and a strong platform to evaluate two robust development options," Mr Bowes said.

FME jumped 8.33% to 1.3¢ at the time of publication.

Metallium (ASX: MTM)

Metallium drew significant attention on HotCopper after announcing its first commercial monetisation deal for the flash joule heating (FJH) platform. The company has reached a twelve-month technology services agreement with Environmental Clean Technologies (ASX: ECT) to evaluate FJH — using rapid heating with chlorine — as a faster, more scalable alternative to conventional HF-based processing for producing 'MXenes,' utilising Metallium's Gator Point reactor systems and engineering support.

MXenes are a class of two-dimensional nanomaterials with emerging applications in batteries, supercapacitors and electromagnetic shielding. Conventional production typically relies on hydrofluoric acid, which is highly corrosive and hazardous, driving interest in safer and more scalable synthesis methods.

The total phase one consideration is up to US$1.4 million, with US$500,000 payable unconditionally on execution.

Managing Director and CEO Michael Walshe said the agreement represents an important milestone in Metallium's commercial evolution.

"While our primary focus remains building a leading US critical metals processing business, we have always believed flash joule heating is a platform technology capable of creating value well beyond metals extraction," Mr Walshe said.

"This agreement represents the first commercial monetisation of that broader platform strategy and validates the significant investment we have made in developing our proprietary reactor technology, engineering capability and Gator Point Technology Campus."

MTM was down 6.90% to 27.0¢ in morning trading.
