Hoppe Marine and AVL Analytical Technologies GmbH have announced a strategic cooperation to introduce a new generation of Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) for the maritime industry.

The collaboration combines Hoppe Marine’s expertise in maritime instrumentation and digital vessel solutions with AVL Analytical Technologies’ capabilities in emissions measurement technology and gas analysis.

The new CEMS portfolio includes two dedicated product lines. HOCEM GHG is designed to support continuous greenhouse gas emissions measurement and reporting, while HOCEM SC focuses on continuous monitoring and verification of exhaust gas cleaning systems, also known as scrubbers.

According to the companies, the solutions are intended to provide shipowners with highly accurate, continuous emissions data to support regulatory compliance, sustainability reporting, and vessel performance improvement. In a sector facing tighter emissions oversight and growing documentation demands, systems that measure and verify performance on an ongoing basis are increasingly relevant for operators that need to align onboard operations with external reporting requirements.

The new portfolio reflects the shared commitment of both companies to help the maritime industry address environmental challenges, meet regulatory requirements, and advance decarbonization efforts.
