GTA 6 Trailer Features 'Dacity' Meme Coin as Traders Pump Unofficial Solana Copycat to $15 Million
Key Takeaways
- •An unofficial Solana meme coin named after the Dacity Coin referenced in the GTA 6 launch trailer has surged to a peak market capitalization of $15 million, despite having no official connection to Rockstar or the game.
- •Leaked gameplay released by the hacker known as Cyberleek appears to corroborate the speculation, showing a mission in which protagonist Lucia performs a parachute stunt to attract investment in Dacity Coin.
- •The coin appears linked to an in-game brand called AudaCity, which seems to be the company behind Dacity Coin according to the GTA wiki.
- •Some traders believe Dacity Coin could function as a tradeable in-game asset similar to GTA V's stock market feature, with one bull case envisioning it as a currency usable in both single-player and multiplayer modes.
- •According to Pump.fun, one trader is sitting on $285,000 in unrealized profits from a $20,000 investment, though none of the gains have been locked in and the position could fall sharply.

The launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 briefly mentions a "Dacity Coin," and crypto traders are now speculating about how central the apparent in-game meme coin will be to the finished game. Some believe it will appear in only a handful of side missions, while others think it will function as a fully tradeable in-game asset.
In response, crypto degens have created an unofficial meme coin of the same name on Solana and pumped it to a peak market capitalization of $15 million. Traders say they are essentially gambling on the prominence of Dacity Coin in GTA 6, believing that deeper integration into the game would lead to bigger gains—despite the Solana token having no official ties to the game or to developer Rockstar.
That distinction is central to the speculation: a reference to Dacity Coin in the trailer does not establish that Rockstar will make it tradeable, connect it to real-world cryptocurrency, or include it beyond the scenes already shown or leaked. Those details remain unclear until Rockstar provides more information about the finished game.
"I think there will be some missions related to Dacity Coin where [GTA 6 protagonist] Lucia will need to promote it to earn money," pseudonymous meme coin trader Nicstho told Decrypt. "This is the classic thesis"
The theory has also made the rounds on X. On October 15, 2026, trader COREY wrote:

The speculation is not based on the trailer alone. Leaked gameplay of an apparent mission, released more than a week ago by the notorious Rockstar hacker known as "Cyberleek," appears to corroborate it. According to the GTA wiki, Lucia is asked to parachute as a stunt to attract investment to the Dacity Coin.
"Give them a show. They'll buy Dacity Coin before they even know what it is," someone tells Lucia over the phone during the mission, according to a leaked screenshot.
The official launch trailer supplies its own spectacle: a wing walker sets off a smoke bomb atop a plane plastered in Dacity Coin branding. That scene has led some traders to believe that Dacity Coin could be featured in multiple missions, with the player tasked with performing wild stunts to pump the token—much like real-world meme coin traders have done in the past.
Dacity Coin also appears to be connected to an in-game brand called AudaCity, which features alongside the coin in both the leak and the trailer. Per the GTA wiki, it appears that AudaCity is the company behind the Dacity Coin.
While some traders expect the meme coin to be confined to a couple of side missions, others see a far bigger role. Nicstho said the bull thesis is that Dacity Coin is an in-game currency that can be spent in both single-player and multiplayer—something he added would be "huge" for the real-world Solana token, despite there being no official link between the two.
"I guess you'll be able to trade it like you trade stocks on GTA V," pseudonymous meme coin trader Corey Ape told Decrypt. "Just think the last GTA you could buy any of the stocks from the mission on the game, you can probably do the same here."
Corey Ape said the idea is purely gut instinct, but argued that it makes sense. In GTA V's single-player story mode, gamers could invest in stocks in an attempt to get rich quick—the feature proved popular enough that entire investment guides were built around it. Given the precedent Rockstar set in the last game, Corey Ape believes it is only natural for an in-game meme coin to be tradeable by players.
"Obviously the [real-world] coin hasn't been launched by Rockstar," Nicstho said. "They just want to mog memecoin traders."
As rumors and speculation continue to swirl, the real-world Solana token has soared. One trader is sitting on unrealized profits of $285,000 from an initial investment of just $20,000, according to trading platform Pump.fun. None of those gains have been locked in, however, and the position could fall sharply at any moment—as is the nature of meme coins.
A section of crypto traders is now eagerly awaiting GTA 6's November release, hoping the launch will pump their bags.
Rockstar did not respond to Decrypt's request for comment.
