Greenland Mines Ltd. (NASDAQ: GRML) has completed its 2026 bulk-sampling program at the Skaergaard palladium, platinum and gold project in East Greenland while advancing fieldwork at the Sarfartoq rare earth element project in West Greenland, according to a recent company update.

The work forms part of Greenland Mines’ effort to develop a multi-asset platform focused on critical metals and precious metals, with the company seeking to position itself as a potential supplier to Western markets.

At Skaergaard, Greenland Mines collected 104.8 tons of mineralized and host material from seven locations through a bulk-sample blasting program. The material is scheduled for large-scale and pilot-scale metallurgical testing at GTK Mintec in Finland. Results from that work will be among the next technical milestones for the project, although the update does not provide test results or establish an economic outcome.

The company also completed ground-penetrating radar surveys at the project. Engineering, infrastructure, processing and waste-management studies are progressing as Greenland Mines assesses Skaergaard’s economic viability and potential development pathway.

At the Sarfartoq rare earth element project, which was acquired on September 1, the company opened and fully staffed an exploration camp. Greenland Mines also completed its second year of environmental baseline fieldwork and began geological and structural mapping focused on the ST1 resource zone and other rare earth targets.

The mapping is intended to expand the understanding of known mineralization and support future resource estimates. Continued mapping and any resulting resource work will therefore be another area to monitor as the project advances; the company has not reported a revised resource estimate in the update.

Greenland Mines operates through two divisions. Its Mining division includes the Skaergaard project and, subject to closing, the Sarfartoq neodymium-praseodymium (Nd-Pr) rare earths project. Its Biotech division includes Klotho’s KLTO-202 primary indication for ALS.

The company’s strategy is centered on establishing a multi-asset platform with exposure to rare earth magnet materials, precious metals and midstream processing opportunities. It is also advancing its broader North Atlantic Critical Metals Corridor vision, which links Greenland resources with allied downstream jurisdictions and industrial infrastructure.

Rare earth elements and platinum group metals are used in renewable energy technologies, electric vehicles and defense applications. China dominates global rare earth supply, and Greenland Mines’ project progress could contribute to supply-chain diversification and reduce reliance on a single source. Palladium, platinum and gold from the Skaergaard project also have applications in catalytic converters and other industrial uses.

The company said successful metallurgical testing and resource expansion at Sarfartoq could support additional investment and partnership opportunities.
