Goldman Sachs Leads XRP ETF Holdings With $87.4 Million Exposure

Institutional demand for XRP exchange-traded funds accelerated in the second quarter of 2026, even as XRP’s price pulled back from its August peak.

Bloomberg Intelligence data shared by ETF analyst James Seyffart showed Goldman Sachs with approximately $87.4 million in XRP ETF exposure at the end of Q2. That represented an increase of about $83.1 million from the previous quarter and put the bank ahead of other disclosed institutional holders.

The disclosure came as spot XRP ETFs continued to draw inflows despite XRP falling from its August high near $1.70 toward the $1.36–$1.40 range, underscoring the growing gap between fund demand and the token’s recent price performance. That divergence matters because ETF flows are one of the clearest public measures of institutional participation, especially in a market where direct token holdings are not always disclosed.

Goldman Sachs Becomes the Largest Holder of XRP ETFs

Citing the Q2 13F filing, Bloomberg ETF strategist James Seyffart said Goldman Sachs is currently the largest holder of spot XRP ETFs, with an exposure value of more than $87 million. Seyffart said the firm holds 84 million XRP, with 83 million purchased in the last quarter alone.

Jane Street ranked second with approximately $16.6 million, followed by Millennium Management with around $16.2 million in XRP ETF exposure.

Spot XRP ETFs Continue to جذب Inflows

Seyffart also said XRP ETF flows have remained surprisingly resilient. The funds have recorded about $1.8 billion in cumulative net inflows since inception, with capital largely moving in one direction.

He noted that the inflows stand out when measured against XRP’s price performance over the same period.

For the week ending August 28, U.S. spot XRP ETFs recorded $110.49 million in net inflows, the highest weekly inflow for XRP ETFs this year. The figure highlighted continued institutional demand.

Those inflows came even as XRP fell roughly 20% from its August peak of $1.70 to $1.38. Continued capital inflows during the price decline suggest investors may be maintaining their XRP accumulation, while also showing how ETF adoption can progress on a different timetable from spot-market pricing.

Bitwise XRP ETF Passes $500 Million in Assets

Asset managers have also reached new milestones amid the strong inflows into spot XRP ETFs.

Bitwise’s XRP ETF has surpassed $500 million in assets under management within nine months of launch. The fund, XRPC, is being positioned as a first for U.S. markets, offering regulated access to XRP through an ETF structure.

The milestone points to growing institutional interest in XRP and its use case for real-time global payments, while also illustrating how quickly a new crypto ETF product can gather assets when demand broadens beyond retail trading.

XRP Holds the $1.40 Area

XRP traded around the $1.36–$1.40 range entering September after failing to hold its late-August rally.

The $1.40 area has become an immediate technical battleground after repeated trading around that level. A sustained move back above it would help stabilize the short-term structure after XRP fell from about $1.70.

If the price fails to reclaim and hold that region, XRP could face another test of lower August support. Buyers would need stronger spot-market follow-through before the latest ETF inflows translate into a clearer price recovery.

For now, XRP ETF demand remains the more measurable institutional signal. Goldman Sachs’ $87.4 million disclosed exposure, Bitwise’s $500 million asset milestone, and the $110.49 million weekly inflow indicate continued interest despite XRP’s pullback.
