Gate Options saw strong growth in September. Through the 29th, total trading volume was up about 18.7% on the full month of August, and premium volume rose about 141.3%. New-user trading volume grew around 180.0%, and average volume per new user rose about 179.2%. Options give traders the right, without the obligation, to buy or sell at a set price, and premium volume tracks the total value paid for those contracts.

As of September 30, 06:00 (UTC), BTC options open interest was split between 234,389.80 BTC in calls (64.54%) and 128,761.00 BTC in puts (35.46%). Over the past 24 hours, calls made up 51.27% of volume (10,896.40 BTC) and puts 48.73% (10,357.20 BTC). Calls dominate open interest, but recent volume is nearly balanced, so these figures alone do not show a clear market direction.

Gate has also opened its Options Newcomer Season.
