Fox News host Trace Gallagher abruptly cut a guest's microphone on Thursday after the guest called President Donald Trump a pedophile and linked him to Jeffrey Epstein during a live broadcast.

The guest, Oliver Larkin, is a union organizer running as a Democratic Socialist to challenge Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) in Florida's 25th Congressional District primary on August 18.

During his appearance on Gallagher's program, Larkin advocated for the abolition of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

"And the criminals should stay?" Gallagher responded.

"…the ICE agents that are killing people should be prosecuted, held accountable under United States courts of law," Larkin replied.

Gallagher pressed the question again: "Should the criminals stay?"

"Let's be clear about who we're ascribing criminality to, because my concern is the out-of-control federal law enforcement agency," Larkin said.

Gallagher then asked how many child rapes would be acceptable relative to the size of the immigrant community.

"If we're going to talk about children being raped, then we need to hold this pedophile president Donald Trump accountable — and all those that have been implicated by the Epstein files that the Department of Justice is still not leaking —" Larkin said.

"Got it," Gallagher interjected, speaking over him.

"— for having the temerity to hold accountable the pedophiles that are in control of our government," Larkin continued.

At that point, Fox News severed Larkin's feed, leaving Gallagher to manage an abrupt transition. The host immediately brought in political strategist Mark Penn — formerly a Clinton pollster and currently chairman and CEO of Stagwell — without airing a commercial break. Live cable news segments occasionally produce confrontational moments that force networks into split-second editorial decisions about whether to keep a guest on air.

"I mean, the problem is, Mark, you know, it always pivots. It's always back to Trump," Gallagher remarked.

No court has found Trump guilty of any offense involving minors. Over the years, more than 20 women have accused Trump of sexual misconduct. In 2023, a federal jury found him liable for sexually abusing writer E. Jean Carroll, and the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear his appeal in June, as reported by CNBC. Trump has denied all accusations.

Trump is also mentioned in Epstein files released by the Department of Justice in December 2025, which include flight records placing him on convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein's private jet in the 1990s, as noted by OPB. Epstein died in federal custody in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges, and the DOJ's phased file releases have drawn sustained public and political scrutiny over the scope of names and details disclosed. Trump has not been formally accused of wrongdoing in connection with Epstein.

Larkin is set to face Moskowitz in the Florida Democratic primary on August 18.
