Fasset, a fintech company building stablecoin-based financial infrastructure for emerging markets, has raised $68 million in a Series C funding round led by Japan's SBI Group. The round values the stablecoin fintech at $1 billion and brings its total funding for the year to $119 million.
The Series C brings new investors into the company as Fasset continues to develop its financial infrastructure based on crypto-compliant money in emerging markets. The latest round follows Fasset's $51 million raise in May, which had been the company's last major capital injection over the span of a few months.
A $40 Billion Platform Across 125 Countries
According to the company, Fasset's platform now facilitates the processing of more than $40 billion in transactions annually, spread across 125 countries. The business is also performing well: CEO and co-founder Mohammad Raafi Hossain says revenue is up roughly sixfold year over year, and that the company has been profitable for the past 12 months. Fasset has not publicized detailed revenue or profit measures.
Hossain said Fasset was built around the idea that access to financial opportunities should not depend on geography, and that the company targets markets where cross-border payments and access to global financial services remain costly or fragmented. That positioning helps explain why the company’s products focus on settlement infrastructure rather than only on moving crypto assets, especially in markets where multiple intermediaries can add cost and complexity to payments.
Opportunity shouldn’t depend on where you were born or where you can go. Opportunity should be accessible to all. That belief is why we started Fasset. And that is why we chose to build from emerging markets, where the problem is often felt the hardest. Today, we’re announcing…

Stablecoins Anchor the Payment Network
Fasset's financial products utilize stablecoins in connection with settlement infrastructure. While stablecoins do the heavy lifting, users can seamlessly switch between bank accounts, currencies, payment products, and other assets. The design targets cross-border payments, which can otherwise involve several intermediaries and require multiple transactions in different currencies.
The strategy places the stablecoin at the center of Fasset's payments platform as a core component, rather than treating it as just a crypto asset for trading or transferring.
Own Network and AI-Powered Transaction Routing
Fasset is the founder of Own Network, an Ethereum Layer 2 built with Arbitrum technology. The network links up more than 100 banking corridors, connecting banks, payment companies, telecom companies, and liquidity providers.
The new agreement raises the firm's capital so that it can invest in this infrastructure and in AI-powered transaction routing capabilities. These systems are designed to determine payment routes, currencies, liquidity sources, and settlement methods based on a variety of criteria, including costs, speed, and availability.
SBI Deepens Its Crypto Push
SBI Group's investment connects Fasset with one of Japan's largest financial groups. SBI has been building out its crypto mix with investments and partnerships across cryptocurrency businesses, payments, and blockchain-native firms, and owns shares in Ripple, Circle, and crypto liquidity provider B2C2.
Fasset has additionally collaborated with SBI Remit regarding obstacles in stablecoin cross-border payments. The collaboration seeks to bridge the connection between remittance systems and blockchain systems in the settlement process.
With the new funding, Fasset plans to expand its payment corridors, fortify its blockchain payments foundations, and create more financial products built on stablecoins. The firm also aims to strengthen the bridge between digital and traditional finance in the Asia region and other emerging markets, an area where stablecoin-based settlement infrastructure is increasingly being used to address payments that remain fragmented across banks and remittance rails.
