Eton Properties Philippines, Inc., the Lucio Tan-led property developer, is broadening the commercial and community mix of its 12-hectare Eton Centris township in Quezon City with the opening of a Christ's Commission Fellowship (CCF) satellite center as part of the redevelopment of Centris Station.

"The continued redevelopment of Eton Centris reflects how we are positioning the property for long-term relevance as the needs of businesses, tenants, and the communities around us continue to evolve. Our focus is not simply on adding more uses, but on building the right mix of destinations and functions that strengthen Eton Centris as a connected, accessible, and increasingly complete urban environment," Eton Properties President and Chief Executive Officer Kyle Ellis C. Tan said in a statement on Sunday.

CCF Centris is scheduled to open on Aug. 30, coinciding with the organization's 42nd anniversary, Eton Properties said. Upon opening, it will be CCF's largest satellite center in Metro Manila, the company added. CCF, an evangelical Christian church founded in the Philippines, operates a network of satellite centers and worship venues across the country and overseas, with its main center located in Pasig City.

The facility covers roughly 3,200 square meters (sq.m.) of gross floor area at Centris Station. Its features include an 800-capacity sports hall with a full-size basketball court that can be converted for pickleball and badminton, four multipurpose halls, and a 1,300-capacity main worship hall. It will also offer a Discipleship Group lounge, a welcome center, administrative offices, and other support facilities. According to Eton Properties, the spaces can accommodate as many as 2,500 people.

The addition forms part of the company's strategy to diversify uses at Eton Centris, which already includes offices, retail, dining, transport, and community spaces. The move mirrors a broader approach among Philippine township developers, which have increasingly anchored mixed-use estates with civic, educational, and faith-based institutions alongside offices and retail to sustain foot traffic across weekdays and weekends.

"As we continue to redevelop Centris Station, we look carefully at how each new use contributes to the property as a whole. CCF Centris brings a distinct community and activity base that complements the existing office, retail, dining, transport, and service mix. The objective is to create a development where different uses reinforce one another and strengthen the overall relevance and utility of Eton Centris for the people and businesses it serves," Eton Properties Chief Operating Officer Adrian T. Chua said.

Eton Centris sits at the intersection of EDSA and Quezon Avenue and is directly connected to the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 Quezon Avenue Station through Centris Station, a transit-linked location that supports the developer's emphasis on accessibility.

In June, Eton Properties completed its transition to 100% renewable energy across 14 developments, including several properties within Eton Centris. Centris Cyberpod Five, Cyberpod One, Cyberpod Three, Cyberpod Four, Eton Centris Walk, Cyberpod Two, and Eton Centris Station are powered by geothermal energy supplied by First Gen Corp., the company said.

Through agreements under the retail competition and open access framework and the green energy option program, Eton Properties contracted more than 11 megawatts of geothermal power. The shift is expected to generate 33 million kilowatt-hours of renewable electricity annually and cut carbon emissions by more than 21,000 metric tons.

Eton Properties is also developing the 35-hectare Parklinks estate in eastern Metro Manila through a joint venture with Ayala Land, Inc. Parklinks Mall, the estate's retail anchor, is scheduled to open in 2027 with a gross floor area of 69,000 sq.m., including 41,000 sq.m. of leasable retail space, according to Eton Properties.

The estate's first dining-oriented retail pavilions are slated to open in late 2026. Other components include the 3,178-sq.m. Casa Ibarra events venue, scheduled to open later this year, and a new Multiple Intelligence International School campus. Residential projects under development at Parklinks include Parklinks North and South Towers by Ayala Land Premier and The Lattice by Alveo Land. — Juliana Chloe A. Gonzales
