Crypto Price Analysis July 24: ETH, XRP, ADA, BNB, and HYPE

Author: Crypto Potato·

Key Takeaways

  • •Ethereum gained 3% this week but faces significant resistance at the $2,000 threshold, which must be converted to support to have a credible chance of reversing the prevailing downtrend.
  • •Cardano posted the strongest weekly performance with a 6% gain, supported by a head and shoulders reversal pattern near $0.15 and bullish MACD indicators suggesting sellers are losing strength.
  • •Binance Coin registered no weekly gains and continues to face reduced demand, partly attributed to the EU's MiCA regulation pushing users toward alternative exchanges.
  • •Hyperliquid's native token declined 5% over the past month and risks a deeper correction, with key support levels at $56 and $52 if it remains below $60.
  • •Ripple recorded a 3% weekly increase and held above $1 support, but declining month-over-month trading volume indicates insufficient momentum for a breakout above $1.2 resistance.
Crypto Price Analysis July 24: ETH, XRP, ADA, BNB, and HYPE

This Friday's analysis takes a closer look at Ethereum, Ripple, Cardano, Binance Coin, and Hyperliquid.

Ethereum (ETH)

Ethereum posted a 3% gain this week, with buyers regaining control of price action for the first time since late June. The relief rally took hold after ETH tested and held support at $1,500.

At the time of writing, ETH is encountering resistance as it approaches the key psychological threshold of $2,000. This level has historically acted as a pivotal pivot between bullish and bearish regimes, and it is expected to attract sellers and could trigger a pullback.

The broader macro trend for Ethereum remains downward. Although the current rally marks a positive shift, sustaining momentum above $2,000 presents a significant challenge. ETH would need to convert $2,000 from resistance into support to have a credible chance at reversing the prevailing downtrend.

Ripple (XRP)

XRP recorded a 3% weekly increase, with buyers maintaining the price comfortably above the key support level at $1. Resistance currently sits at $1.2, and a break above this level is necessary before sustained gains become likely.

Trading volume has been declining on a month-over-month basis, indicating that XRP lacks the momentum required for a major breakout. Market participants appear to have stepped back since the sell-off in February and have yet to return.

The consolidation above $1 is a constructive development, though it could equally represent a pause by sellers ahead of another attempt to test key support.

Cardano (ADA)

Cardano finished the week on a positive note, closing 6% higher. This follows the formation of a head and shoulders reversal pattern near the key support zone around $0.15. As long as that level holds, buyers retain the advantage.

That said, ADA still needs to establish a clear sequence of higher lows and higher highs before a confirmed reversal of the macro downtrend can be established. This would require the price to push beyond $0.25.

Weekly momentum indicators, including the MACD, are currently showing a bullish bias, suggesting that sellers may be losing strength and that buyers could regain control over an extended period.

Binance Coin (BNB)

Binance Coin showed weakness over the past seven days, failing to register any gains. Resistance at $580 continues to cap the price and has kept buyers at bay for the past month. Without a decisive breakout, BNB is likely to continue trading sideways or test lower levels in search of demand.

The token also experienced reduced volatility and trading volume. This may be partly connected to the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation, which has pushed EU users to seek alternative exchanges and reduced overall demand for BNB.

BNB remains in a downtrend with no clear signal of a near-term reversal. The support level at $500 is worth monitoring, as it could come into play before buyers re-enter the market.

Hyperliquid (HYPE)

HYPE, the native token of the Hyperliquid decentralized perpetual futures exchange, traded flat this week, having declined 5% over the past month, signaling that its uptrend may have run its course. The price is currently below $60, a level that, if maintained, could embolden sellers to push prices lower.

If HYPE loses its broader macro uptrend, a deeper correction may follow. The longer the price remains below $60, the greater the probability of a more substantial decline. Key support levels sit at $56 and $52.

After a strong rally through the first half of 2026, HYPE appears vulnerable to a significant correction in the second half of the year, potentially revisiting levels below $50.
