DITO Telecommunity Corp. has broadened its partnership with convenience store chain Lawson, making DITO Starter Packs available at more than 200 Lawson locations across Metro Manila as part of a push to expand digital connectivity access for Filipino consumers.

The announcement, made on Thursday, represents the latest step in DITO's ongoing effort to widen its retail footprint and bring its telecommunications services closer to everyday consumers through high-traffic retail channels. DITO, which launched commercial services in 2021 as the Philippines' third major telecommunications provider, has been working to grow its subscriber base and compete with established industry players Globe Telecom and PLDT Inc.

Adel A. Tamano, Chief Commercial Officer of DITO Telecommunity, said the collaboration with the multinational convenience store operator is grounded in shared priorities of innovation, customer value, and growth.

"By combining our strengths, we aim to create more meaningful experiences for Filipino consumers while opening new opportunities that will benefit both organizations," Mr. Tamano said in a statement.

"We look forward to building a partnership that reflects our shared vision of delivering greater choice, convenience, and value to the communities we serve," he added.

Under the expanded partnership, customers can purchase DITO Starter Packs at the participating Lawson stores. Each pack includes a SIM card preloaded with up to 25 gigabytes of bonus data, along with other inclusions. Convenience stores have become an increasingly important retail channel for telecommunications products in the Philippines, offering extended operating hours and dense urban coverage.

Tsunaka Nakanishi, vice-president of Lawson Philippines, said the initiative makes reliable connectivity more accessible while offering greater convenience and value to Filipino consumers.

DITO described the collaboration as a milestone in the company's continued retail expansion, reinforcing its goal of empowering Filipinos with accessible, high-quality digital connectivity.
