Diamond Power Infrastructure Secures ₹76 Crore Order for 66 kV EHV Underground Cables

Diamond Power Infrastructure Ltd has secured an order worth ₹76 crore for 66 kV extra-high voltage (EHV) underground cables, the company disclosed in an exchange filing reported by CNBC-TV18.

The order adds to the company's recent stream of contract wins in the transmission and distribution segment. Diamond Power Infrastructure, an Indian manufacturer of cables, conductors, and power transmission equipment, has previously announced orders including a ₹185 crore conductor order from Adani Energy Solutions and major EHV cable orders from Gujarat utilities.

The latest win comes amid India's ongoing push to expand and modernise its power transmission network, driven by rising electricity demand and renewable energy integration, which has lifted demand for high-voltage cables and conductors from both public utilities and private transmission developers.

Following the announcement, shares of Diamond Power Infrastructure ended at ₹322.40 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), down ₹8.00, or 2.42%, on the day.

The company supplies cables and conductors to power utilities and transmission projects across India, and EHV underground cables are used in high-capacity power transmission networks in urban and industrial areas, where they help carry bulk power while freeing congested city corridors from overhead lines.
