Decrypt Money Accounts Go Live on Solana to Power The Information Exchange
Key Takeaways
- •Decrypt's Money Accounts provide a single self-custodial USDT balance on Solana that funds every Decrypt product, including Earn, Swaps, ions and Perps.
- •Fee-payer co-signing covers gas and rent costs, allowing users to transact without holding Solana's native SOL token.
- •The service removes bridging and per-product deposit requirements, and supports deposits through virtually any payment method.
- •Decrypt does not hold users' private keys, and an upcoming export feature will let balances be used with any Solana wallet software.
- •Money Accounts serve as the settlement layer for The Information Exchange, which plans to expand from prediction markets to spot, perpetual futures and structured event products in a staggered rollout through Solana Breakpoint.

Money Accounts are now live on Solana, a network built for high throughput and low transaction costs, giving readers a single self-custodial balance that works across everything Decrypt builds, as the media company continues to roll out the infrastructure underpinning its financial and intelligence market, The Information Exchange.
Balances are held in USDT on Solana—Tether's dollar-pegged stablecoin and the largest by market capitalization—and one balance funds every product on Decrypt: Earn, Swaps, Predictions and Perps, with Decrypt Takes and additional offerings to follow. There is no bridging—the step of moving assets between separate blockchains that multi-chain activity typically requires—and no per-product deposit requirement, and users can deposit funds using virtually any payment method.
Gas and rent are sponsored through fee-payer co-signing, so users do not need to hold SOL or think about network fees at all. Solana's transaction format allows a separate account to cosign and cover a transaction's costs, a mechanic that removes what is usually the first hurdle on any new chain: acquiring its native token. A user who deposits funds can start using the wallet immediately.
“Our goal is simple: one account, one balance, and access to every financial instrument, directly from where you already consume information,” said Ilan Hazan, co-founder of Decrypt. “From prediction markets to perpetual futures and swaps, users will be able to manage all their positions in one place, without worrying about wallets, bridges or chains. We're working with leading protocols to make this possible, with partners to be announced in the coming weeks.”
Decrypt Money Accounts are self-custodial, meaning Decrypt does not hold private keys and cannot perform actions on anyone's behalf—a contrast with custodial platforms, where the operator controls the keys. Private key export is coming shortly, after which the keys can be used with any Solana wallet software, so balances are not locked to Decrypt's own interface.
Cross-chain activity is handled underneath the user experience. Myriad Predictions markets, for instance, settle on BNB Chain, but users trade them from the same Solana USDT balance without touching a bridge or a second network. Prediction markets let users take positions on the outcomes of real-world events; here, the chain where those positions settle stays out of the user's path entirely.
Existing Myriad Wallet users can start using Decrypt Money Accounts immediately. The wallet that powered Myriad Predictions becomes Decrypt Money Accounts, so one account and one balance now cover both Decrypt and Myriad, with no migration required.
The platform is the rail beneath The Information Exchange, the financial and intelligence market built atop Decrypt, Myriad and the upcoming MYR token. Decrypt serves as the information layer; Myriad is the infrastructure that connects what readers learn to what they can act on; and MYR functions as the shared economic coordination layer atop Solana. The structure folds reading, data and market activity into one venue, shortening the distance between learning about an event and acting on it.
The Information Exchange is built around subjects, assembling reporting, data, prices and probabilities in one place. The instruments attached to them are set to widen from prediction markets to spot, perpetual futures—derivative contracts that carry no set expiry—structured event products and more. New features will be launched over the coming weeks, in a staggered rollout running into Solana Breakpoint, Solana's annual ecosystem conference.
