Converge ICT Receives Five Golden Arrow Governance Rating for Second Straight Year

Leading Philippine fiber broadband and technology provider Converge ICT Solutions, Inc. (PSE: CNVRG) has been named a recipient of the Five Golden Arrow rating for the second consecutive year, retaining the highest corporate governance distinction given to publicly listed companies by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD).

The recognition was conferred at the ICD's Golden Arrow Awards held on Oct. 23 and places Converge among the Philippines' best-governed companies for 2025, as assessed under the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS), a benchmark that measures listed companies across the region against a common set of governance standards covering areas such as shareholder rights, board responsibilities, and disclosure. Converge first earned the top rating at the 2024 awards ceremony.

“Being awarded the top governance rating for two straight years for a young listed company highlights the trajectory of Converge from a market challenger to an industry leader anchored by rigorous governance standards,” said former Senior Associate Justice Estela Perlas-Bernabe, Chairwoman of the Converge Board of Directors.

The company's governance standing has climbed steadily since its market debut. In its first year as a publicly listed company, Converge received a One Golden Arrow rating, rose to Three Golden Arrows in 2022 and 2023, and captured the highest distinction last year — reaching the top tier within four years of its 2020 listing.

“At Converge, good governance is the very foundation of how we operate and how we serve,” said Jose P. de Jesus, Converge Independent Director and Immediate Past Chairman, during the awards ceremony. “Regardless of how rapidly the technological landscape shifts, our true north remains unchanged. Our mission is to democratize technology by providing access to world-class, quality internet to the unserved and underserved. At Converge, our choice is clear: we use tech for good.”

De Jesus stressed that strong corporate governance steers and safeguards this core purpose, noting that as Converge continues to grow, the company carries a deep responsibility to create opportunities for communities, stimulate local economies, and empower lives through connectivity.

“Good corporate governance provides the necessary guardrails for us to pursue innovation and growth while remaining mindful of our responsibilities,” added Atty. Laurice Esteban-Tuason, Corporate Compliance, Data Protection, and Sustainability Officer at Converge. “Rather than viewing corporate governance as a mere compliance requirement, we treat it as an integral strategic tool for building a resilient organization, mitigating risk, and creating meaningful long-term value across our ecosystem.”

With the company's first five years as a public company now complete, its run of top-tier ratings will face re-assessment in the ICD's succeeding evaluation cycles, where the same ACGS benchmarks apply to all listed firms.

Converge listed its shares on the Philippine Stock Exchange on October 26, 2020, under the ticker symbol CNVRG.
