CoinFello Launches Fello 2, an AI Agent That Builds, Runs, and Automates DeFi Strategies From Plain Language

Author: ChainWire·

Key Takeaways

  • Fello 2 allows users to describe DeFi strategies in plain language, which the AI agent interprets, plans, executes, and maintains on an ongoing basis.
  • The agent operates through a delegation model where it only assumes permissions explicitly granted by the user and never holds private keys.
  • Users can monitor positions without funding a wallet, and are only required to fund an Automation Wallet when they want the agent to take action.
  • Fello 2 automatically rejects blind-signing requests, approval-phishing attempts, and transactions designed to drain wallets.
  • A limited-time rewards program returns 100% of eligible swap fees to users and referrers in MON, with a standard earning rate to follow after the launch period.
CoinFello Launches Fello 2, an AI Agent That Builds, Runs, and Automates DeFi Strategies From Plain Language

Fort Worth, Texas, August 12th, 2026 — CoinFello has launched Fello 2, the latest version of its AI agentic product for using and automating DeFi from a single interface. The release coincides with a new rewards program that returns 100% of eligible swap fees to users and their referrals during a limited launch period, paid in MON, Monad's native token.

CoinFello describes Fello 2 as a major upgrade that enables users to describe any onchain strategy in plain language. The agent interprets the user's intent, generates a plan for review, and upon approval, executes and maintains the strategy in the background. The product enters a competitive and still-nascent category of AI-driven crypto assistants, where multiple projects are attempting to lower the usability barrier that has historically kept DeFi participation concentrated among technically proficient users.

According to the company, executing DeFi strategies manually typically involves cross-referencing values across multiple dApps, initiating and approving each transaction individually, and verifying that order details are correctly configured. Fello 2 replaces this multi-step process with a single prompt. For example, a user could instruct the agent: "Every Friday, move some idle USDC into the best stablecoin pool, but if any position gets within 15% of liquidation, add margin first, then tell me what you did." The agent reads each condition, executes the steps in order, and reports back at the designated time. CoinFello characterizes the approach as a shift from doing DeFi to describing it.

Monitoring Without Funding

For EOA (externally owned account) users, getting started requires no initial funding. Users can ask Fello to monitor positions, and it will flag relevant developments — such as position drift, liquidation risk, or better yields available elsewhere — without the need to fund a new wallet. Users are only asked to fund an Automation Wallet they own when they want Fello to act on alerts and move funds.

Fello 2 also evaluates the transactions it is asked to sign. The agent declines blind-signing requests, approval-phishing attempts, and transactions designed to drain a wallet. These protections address attack vectors that have accounted for a significant share of documented DeFi losses, where users unknowingly sign malicious transactions that grant unlimited token spend allowances or transfer funds to attacker-controlled contracts. Fello 2 will not assume broader permissions than those a user grants, and it never holds a user's private keys. The system operates through a delegation model that restricts the agent to only the permissions the user provides, with the ability to revoke any permission at any time.

Rewards Program: Earning From Swaps and Referrals

The launch is accompanied by a new Rewards Program. Every eligible swap made through Fello earns the user a share of swap fees, paid in MON. Users also earn a share of fees generated by their referrals, for as long as those referred individuals continue swapping.

During a limited launch period, CoinFello will return all swap fees generated from eligible activity to users and their referrers. After that period concludes, users and referrers are expected to continue earning at the program's standard rate. CoinFello stated it will publish details of the standard split and the timing of the transition before the launch period ends.

Rewards from both direct swaps and referrals are itemized on a Rewards dashboard within the CoinFello app and can be claimed to a wallet controlled by the user. There is no stated cap on the number of referrals a user can make or the amount that can be earned through qualifying activity. CoinFello also plans to introduce a feature allowing users to deposit claimed rewards into a self-custodial account managed by Fello for the purpose of compounding earnings; that capability is currently under development and not yet available.

jacobc.eth, co-founder and CEO of CoinFello, said: "The hardest part of DeFi isn't one thing, it's two: knowing the right move, and then actually making it, over and over again. Bridge, swap, stake, check back at midnight to see if the rate moved, rebalance a portfolio manually in a week, and repeat. That whole process eats up hours of your time, even for someone who is comfortable with DeFi. Through a single prompt, Fello 2 transforms the manual steps in the process into automations. You describe it once, and the automation handles the schedule, the steps, and the conditions in between. And importantly, on a wallet you own, with nothing executed you didn't approve. And from today, 100% of the fees generated from swaps go back to the people making them, not to us. That is the version of onchain finance I actually want to use."

Availability

Fello 2 is available now and serves as the default agent for every new chat at app.coinfello.com. Users can generate referral links in the Rewards section of their account at app.coinfello.com/rewards.
