Chowdeck's co-founders, Femi Aluko, Olumide Ojo, and Lanre Yusuf, have joined Endeavor Nigeria's global network of high-impact entrepreneurs. The development comes as the Lagos-based food delivery startup works to deepen and expand its operations across Nigeria and Ghana.
Membership in the Endeavor network gives the founders access to a community of fellow entrepreneurs, mentors, and investors who can provide guidance and support as they navigate the challenges of scaling their business in new markets.
Chowdeck's growth has been rapid. Launched in 2021 as a simple food delivery service, the company has evolved into a comprehensive commerce and logistics platform. It now operates in 14 cities across Nigeria and Ghana, serving more than 800,000 active customers, nearly 9,000 vendors, and approximately 8,000 riders. The platform processes around 1.2 million orders every month. That trajectory — from a three-rider operation to a platform moving over a million monthly orders — is precisely the profile Endeavor's selection process is built to identify.
Femi Aluko, co-founder and CEO of Chowdeck, said joining the Endeavor network will be instrumental in helping the company tackle its next phase of growth by connecting it with entrepreneurs who have confronted similar obstacles.
"The most valuable thing for a founder at this stage is being able to talk to someone who has already solved the problem in front of you. Someone who has expanded into a market they didn't understand, hired their first set of senior leaders, or managed growth across currencies and regulators. Endeavor gives us access to exactly those people, across Africa and around the world," Aluko said.
Chowdeck was founded by Aluko, Ojo, and Yusuf in response to the food delivery difficulties that emerged during the COVID-19 lockdown in Lagos. Inspired by the efficient delivery services they observed in Dubai, the founders launched the company with three motorbikes, three riders, and two restaurants in the Lagos districts of Ikeja and Yaba. Since then, Chowdeck has broadened its offering to include quick commerce, groceries, parcel delivery, merchant solutions, advertising, and financial services, and it entered Ghana in May 2025.
Noah Sebhatleab of Endeavor Global said Chowdeck's locally grounded approach is what sets it apart. "Chowdeck stands out because it designs its platform and operations specifically for local African contexts, unlike international competitors that try to import foreign playbooks. As a result, while many of these competitors retreat from the continent, Chowdeck continues to scale across it," he noted. His observation captures a shift that has reshaped African on-demand delivery in recent years: as several international operators have exited or scaled back on the continent, locally designed platforms have moved to fill the gap.
To join the network, the founders completed Endeavor's selection process, which involves extensive reviews by seasoned entrepreneurs and investors. Martin Escobari, an Endeavor Global board member, underscored the founders' expertise, saying, "Chowdeck is a local champion in food delivery across Nigeria and Ghana."
Ireayo Oladunjoye, managing director and CEO of Endeavor Nigeria, pointed to the company's momentum. "Femi, Lanre and Olumide have taken a clear market opportunity and built a business with the ambition, pace and resilience required to scale," he said.
Endeavor, founded in 1997, supports high-growth entrepreneurs outside traditional tech hubs, connecting them through a network of more than 3,100 members across 100 markets to foster mentorship and investment. Through the network, Chowdeck's founders stand to gain valuable insights while contributing to the broader African business ecosystem. For the company itself, the near-term test will be converting that access into execution — consolidating its recent entry into Ghana while pushing its commerce, logistics, and financial services stack deeper into its existing markets.
