Chainlink Reserve Adds 1.54 Million LINK in Q3 as Price Nears $12

Chainlink's reserve added 1,543,330.47 LINK in the third quarter, bringing its total holdings to 6,047,498.3150 LINK, as the token traded near $12.24 on October 22. LINK was down from its October high of approximately $15.70.

The price move followed Chainlink's release of its third-quarter review on October 21. The report said more than $15 billion in token value migrated to Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) during 2026. It also highlighted expanded work with Swift, the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), Wyoming and Hong Kong's Tokenized Securities Framework. Read alongside the reserve figures, the review gave the quarter two yardsticks: token accumulation on one side and institutional integrations on the other.

CCIP 2.0 went live during the third quarter, adding security, compliance and settlement controls for institutions transferring digital assets between blockchains. Migrations included assets associated with BitGo and the Wyoming Stable Token Commission. Aave, Coinbase and xStocks expanded their use of CCIP, while Nethermind began moving its infrastructure to Chainlink.

Wyoming moved its FRNT stablecoin to CCIP in August following a security review. The Wyoming Stable Token Commission selected Chainlink as FRNT's sole cross-chain provider under a multiyear agreement. Chainlink said CCIP now secures more than $85 billion in cross-chain token value, while the cumulative transaction value enabled by its services has exceeded $36 trillion — a figure the company explicitly framed as a measure of activity enabled across its services rather than revenue.

Chainlink summarized its third-quarter activity in a post on X:

⬡ CHAINLINK Q3 MOMENTUM ⬡ • Launched CCIP 2.0 • $15B+ migrates to CCIP • $140B secured across onchain finance • TradFi adoption: DTCC, Swift, & more • Enterprise adoption: Infosys, Robinhood, & more • Work with policymakers across the U.S., UK, & Hong Kong pic.twitter.com/kWuZop7iLw — Chainlink (@chainlink) October 21, 2026

Swift, DTCC and Government Initiatives

At the Sibos banking conference, Chainlink introduced Fulcrum, a service designed to support securities financing and collateral management across public and private blockchains. The company also announced a method for connecting banks to Swift's blockchain ledger through its Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE), while allowing banks to retain control of their transaction-signing keys. Taken together, the engagements span bank connectivity, post-trade collateral and central banking, cutting across several layers of traditional financial infrastructure at once.

DTCC's Collateral AppChain will use CRE and Chainlink data services for collateral management. Chainlink's review also described a transaction in which JPMorgan posted tokenized stock as collateral for margin with CME Group.

In September, Wyoming adopted Chainlink Proof of Reserve to share FRNT reserve data across blockchains. Hong Kong's Tokenized Securities Framework selected CCIP and Chainlink's Automated Compliance Engine. The Bank of England's Synchronisation Lab demonstrated CRE coordinating settlement between central bank money and tokenized assets.

Polymarket, World and LBank adopted Chainlink tools for market resolution and payouts. Chainlink's Smart Value Recapture service also surpassed $24.4 million in cumulative recaptured value.

LINK Tests $12 Support

LINK fell approximately 0.67% over 24 hours, according to crypto.news data, while its seven-day performance remained positive at about 1.68%.

On the TradingView chart, LINK was moving toward $12 after losing momentum from the $15.70 high. The relative strength index (RSI) stood at 44.11, below 50 but not in oversold territory. The MACD line was at -0.224, below its signal line at -0.121, indicating that the bearish technical configuration remained in place.

The article identified $12 as the key level to monitor. A decline below that level would place $11 among the next support areas, while a move back above $13 would bring $14 into focus. Alongside the chart levels, the quarter's institutional engagements — including DTCC's planned Collateral AppChain and FRNT's operations under the multiyear Wyoming agreement — give readers concrete developments to watch beyond price action.
