Caspin Resources Identifies Regional Discovery Opportunities at Bygoo Tin Project in NSW

Caspin Resources (ASX:CPN) has identified new growth potential from early results of regional exploration activities across its Bygoo tin project in New South Wales.

Tin is widely classified as a critical mineral by the Australian, US, and EU governments, driven by its essential role in electronics solder, semiconductors, and emerging technologies. Global tin supply has faced pressure in recent years from production disruptions in major producing nations including Myanmar and Indonesia, heightening interest in new projects in stable jurisdictions.

Managing Director Greg Miles said the regional work has been conducted in parallel with resource extension drilling at the Kelpie deposit and demonstrates the breadth of discovery opportunities across the broader Bygoo project.

"Recent high-grade results from the Kelpie deposit have demonstrated a clear pathway to resource growth with an updated resource estimate already scheduled for September," Mr Miles said.

"In parallel with the ongoing resource extension work at Kelpie, the company has now developed several highly prospective targets across the Bygoo Project with potential for new discoveries."

Mr Miles highlighted the Moss prospect as the most direct analogue to Kelpie, noting that a new soil anomaly there is of a similar magnitude and located only 500m along strike.

The Bygoo project is located adjacent to the historic Ardlethan tin mine, historically the largest hard-rock tin operation in NSW, which has been on care and maintenance in recent years.

"Adjacent to the Ardlethan mine we've recognised extensive alteration halos that we would expect surrounding a breccia or greisen-style tin deposit," he said.

"We've already completed the most comprehensive exploration program in the area since the early 1980s. It is remarkable that an area so close to an existing mine has seen so little modern exploration, presenting an outstanding discovery opportunity for Caspin."

Drilling is currently underway at the Moss prospect and is expected to be followed by similar activities at the Ardlethan South and East prospects later in the year, Mr Miles told shareholders. The upcoming September resource estimate for Kelpie and the Moss drilling results will be key milestones for investors to monitor.

He also pointed to the recent Errol's discovery as evidence of the potential for new tin discoveries in the vicinity of Kelpie.

The company reported that a combination of soil geochemistry, induced polarisation (IP) surveying, and gravity surveying has proven to be a powerful exploration tool in the absence of surface mineralisation indicators such as historical workings.

Caspin had previously identified a prospective geological setting a short distance north of Kelpie at the Moss prospect. Initial geochemistry results revealed a very strong tin and pathfinder anomaly coincident with potential mineralised fault structures identified in IP data.

Subsequent infill sampling delineated a second tin anomaly, located only 500m north of Kelpie, also associated with a cross-fault structure recognised in IP. According to the company, this anomaly is significantly stronger than the initial anomaly that defined the Moss prospect.

Prior to market open, CPN shares were steady at 13.5 cents with a market capitalisation of $38.33 million.
