  • •Bearish momentum is fading according to RSI and MACD readings, but buyers need to push ADA back above $0.210 before a test of resistance near $0.229 becomes possible.
  • •Cardano developers released Hydra 2.4.1 to fix a flaw that could have allowed a malicious Hydra Head participant to insert an invalid transaction into a confirmed snapshot, and users of versions 2.3.0 and 2.4.0 were urged to upgrade.
  • •Network activity stayed subdued, with total value locked falling below 300 million ADA and active addresses dropping to 12,204, the lowest reading since Aug. 17, while daily DEX volume rose to $1.65 million, far below the September peak of $7.28 million.
  • •Development continued with node version 11.1.1 as part of preparations for the Dijkstra hard fork, which targets further network performance improvements.
Cardano Price Holds Near $0.205 Support as Bearish Flag Points to $0.192

Cardano (ADA) traded near $0.208 on Sept. 13 after failing to extend its latest recovery. The token remained close to the $0.205 support area, where a bearish flag pattern continues to focus attention on a potential move lower.

ADA has declined from above $0.22 over the past week, although selling pressure has begun to ease. Technical indicators show that bearish momentum is weakening, but buyers still need to reclaim $0.210 before the token can test resistance near $0.229. These levels leave support and resistance as the main short-term markers for the chart.

Cardano developers also released Hydra 2.4.1 to address a security vulnerability. Network activity, however, remained subdued based on total value locked and active-address data.

Bearish Flag Leaves $0.192 as Downside Target

ADA has spent the latest sessions moving inside a rising channel following a sharp decline. Crypto With Gopal described the structure as a bearish flag, with sellers retaining the broader short-term advantage.

The first important support zone is between $0.205 and $0.206. ADA has tested this region several times while trading within the flag. A move below the zone could confirm the bearish pattern and put the chart’s next downside target near $0.192 into focus.

Cardano traded close to $0.208 during the session. Buyers had pushed the token higher within the channel, but the advance lost strength near the upper boundary. ADA also has support around $0.201 on the daily chart. The price previously rebounded from that area, creating a possible double-bottom pattern, although the formation still requires stronger confirmation.

ADA would need to move above $0.229 before buyers gain greater control over the daily structure. The wider cryptocurrency market provided some support during the session, with Bitcoin trading around $77,300 and Ethereum near $2,530. ADA also recorded gains during the day, but remained below its main resistance zones.

Hydra 2.4.1 Addresses Security Vulnerability

Cardano developers released Hydra 2.4.1 after identifying a security weakness in earlier versions of the scaling protocol. The flaw allowed a malicious participant inside a Hydra Head to submit an invalid transaction that could be included in a confirmed snapshot, creating a risk of stolen funds.

Hydra 2.4.1 changes the validation process so transactions receive full checks before confirmation. Input Output Global urged users running versions 2.3.0 and 2.4.0 to upgrade.

Cardano development has also progressed with node version 11.1.1. The release is part of preparations for the Dijkstra hard fork, which targets additional network performance improvements.

The security update has not altered ADA’s short-term chart structure. The token continues to trade inside the bearish flag while traders monitor the lower support range.

Cardano Network Activity Remains Subdued

Cardano network activity weakened across several measures. Total value locked fell below 300 million ADA, while active addresses declined to 12,204, the lowest reading since Aug. 17. Total value locked tracks assets held in network applications, while active-address data provides a measure of participating addresses, giving the two figures different views of network usage.

Decentralized exchange activity improved slightly, with daily DEX volume rising from about $1.13 million to $1.65 million. That figure remained well below the September peak of $7.28 million.

After ADA stabilized, the four-hour chart showed bearish momentum fading. The price held above the recent low near $0.203 after falling from the $0.229 area. Smaller candles indicated that the earlier selling pressure had slowed.

The relative strength index recovered to 44.50 from lower levels and moved above its signal line at 43.24. The indicator remains below the neutral 50 mark, but its recent flattening indicates that downside momentum has weakened. ADA would need to regain $0.210 to extend its recovery toward the previous trading range.

The moving average convergence divergence indicator also showed the bearish move losing strength. The MACD line stood near -0.00195, above the signal line at approximately -0.00216, while the histogram turned slightly positive at 0.00022. Both lines remained below zero, leaving $0.200 as nearby support if selling pressure returns.
