DUBAI, UAE, Oct. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Bybit, the New Financial Platform trusted by more than 80 million users worldwide, today opened registration for the World Series of Trading (WSOT) 2026, its flagship global trading competition, with a prize pool of up to 10 million USDT on offer until December 2, 2026, at 10AM UTC. Registration went live at 10AM UTC on Oct. 29, and eligible traders worldwide can now register, create or join a squad, and begin the Preheat Quest.

Under this year's theme, "The World Trades Here," WSOT is expanding from a crypto-only contest into a multi-asset trading tournament. Two new arenas join the returning Squad and Individual Showdowns: Global Assets, in which traders compete on stocks, gold, oil, and indices, and the AI P&L Showdown, in which strategies run through Bybit AI.

The 2026 edition follows a record-setting 2025 event that drew 520,451 participants worldwide, formed 1,474 squads, and earned a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title after 71,765 participants joined within 24 hours. That scale shows how large trading competitions have become as engagement vehicles for exchanges — and it sets a high benchmark for a 2026 edition that reaches beyond crypto for the first time.

How to Join

Registration takes place on the WSOT 2026 page at bybit.com/wsot2026, and there is no minimum equity to register. Traders who want to lead a squad apply on the WSOT page and can begin recruiting once approved. Members join through a squad link, by searching a squad name, or from recommended squads. Competing solo only is also an option.

The Preheat Quest lets participants complete trading tasks across five arenas to unlock rewards from day one. To appear on the P&L and P&L% leaderboards, traders must hold at least 100 USDT in their Unified Trading Account for five minutes.

What's New in WSOT 2026

This year's competition reflects Bybit's shift toward a global multi-asset platform. Crypto, stocks, and commodities now share one account and one competition, with AI built into the experience from registration to the final leaderboard. That single-account structure places WSOT at the center of a broader industry shift, as trading platforms increasingly extend into both digital and traditional assets.

• Global Assets Showdown. Two volume leaderboards bring traditional markets into WSOT. The Spot leaderboard covers crypto and stock spot trading, where available, while the TradFi Perps leaderboard covers perpetual contracts on stocks, gold, oil, and indices.
• AI Showdown. A new leaderboard ranks traders by P&L when they use a Bybit AI subaccount or a general AI subaccount. Bybit AI also appears on the WSOT page as a competition assistant that explains rules and tasks and tracks squad and individual rankings in real time.
• Preheat Quest. Running for the full campaign, the quest spans five arenas: New & Invite, Spot, Derivatives, TradFi, and Bybit AI. Each completed task lights up an arena and unlocks rewards.
• Squads built to grow. Squad members, not only leaders, can now earn rewards for inviting traders into their squad. The leaders of the first 100 qualified squads receive 100 USDT each, the first 20 TradFi squad leaders receive 500 USDT each, and the first 200 qualified squad leaders receive 50 USDT each.

The schedule staggers the new arenas across the campaign: squad creation closes on Nov 11, the Global Assets Spot competition opens Nov 5, the Squad, Individual, and AI Showdowns begin Nov 13, and TradFi Perps follows on Nov 19 — a sequence that builds toward the Dec 2 finale.

Prize pools unlock as total trading volume across participants grows. Because the headline figure is a ceiling rather than a fixed amount, the rewards ultimately distributed will track how much collective activity the event generates — making participation milestones across the stages worth watching. In the Squad Showdown, the squad leader takes 20% of the squad's reward, the top 10 members share 20%, and all eligible members share 60%. The Individual Showdown ranks traders within three weight classes: Lightweight, Middleweight, and Heavyweight.

Eligibility and Rules

There is no minimum equity to register. To rank on the P&L and P&L% leaderboards, traders must hold at least 100 USDT in their Unified Trading Account for five minutes. Each trader may compete with one main account and up to six subaccounts, including AI subaccounts, and may join a squad while competing solo at the same time, or compete solo only.
