Bybit announced on Friday that it has upgraded its Dual Asset product line with a new investment simulator, a streamlined interface, and broader access to VIP-tier annual percentage rate (APR) products.
The Dubai-based exchange, which describes itself as the world's second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, said the changes aim to make the short-term structured investment product easier to understand and navigate. Bybit's move reflects a broader industry trend among major exchanges—rivals such as Binance and OKX offer comparable structured yield products under similar names—as platforms compete to attract retail users to their earn and investment ecosystems.
Bybit Dual Asset is a non-principal-protected product that lets users set a target price for buying or selling cryptocurrency. Investors earn APR rewards on their principal at settlement regardless of whether the selected target price is reached. Because the product is not principal-protected, users may receive settlement in a different asset than the one they invested with—meaning significant adverse price movement can result in receiving a depreciated asset rather than their original principal.
Settlement Outcome Simulator
The centerpiece of the upgrade is a simulator that allows users to preview potential outcomes before committing to an order. Traders can select a token from a searchable list, input their investment amount, and choose from available durations.
The tool presents both possible settlement scenarios side by side in a single visual, offering a clearer picture of the product's potential results. A "Match My Assets" filter further highlights coins aligned with a user's existing holdings, a feature Bybit said is intended to streamline product selection.
Users can access the simulator by enabling "Beginner Mode" under "Choose Product Plan."
Bybit has also overhauled the broader Dual Asset interface. The updated layout reduces the number of steps required to compare product terms and place orders.
VIP Products Open to All Every Friday
In addition to the simulator, Bybit is widening access to Dual Asset products previously reserved for VIP customers. Every Friday, all users can now access selected VIP-exclusive products with enhanced APR rates without needing a VIP membership.
This weekly access window extends higher-rate offerings to a larger segment of the exchange's user base while maintaining the existing product structure.
Bybit said users can earn a competitive yield when a target trade executes—settling at the preset price while also accruing APR rewards. The product may also enable users to buy at a lower price or sell at a higher price than through a direct trade when the target price is reached. If the target is not triggered, users receive their principal back along with the APR rewards accumulated during the investment period.
The company cautioned, however, that the product remains non-principal-protected, and that terms, eligibility requirements, and potential restrictions apply.
