BP Silver Adds a Second Drill Rig to Phase 2 at the Cosuño Silver Project
Peter Spina
I spoke with BP Silver CEO Tim Shearcroft after news of extensive rock chip and channel sampling that produced promising results, including 935 grams g/t of silver, 1.51 g/t gold, zinc at 5.5%, and lead at 3.6%.
To accelerate progress and expand target coverage, BP Silver has mobilized a second drill rig, allowing simultaneous operations at two distinct zones. That additional capacity matters at an early-stage exploration project because it can help the company keep advancing multiple targets while pending assay results are still being compiled from Phase II work.
As the company advances through Phase II drilling and looks toward Phase III in the coming months, work remains ongoing. The company’s biggest and core target, Pocanita Grande, is close to having road access, according to the interview, which could support follow-up work as the project continues to move from sampling into broader drill testing.
Will there be an opportunity to drill some holes during Phase II?
Phase II drill efforts remain ongoing, and assay results are still pending, along with other exploration work. Tim provides an overview of the progress, including visuals of the prospective silver project. Watch to learn more about what is developing at BP Silver’s Cosuño project:
