French banking group BNP Paribas — one of Europe's largest banks by assets — has selected Megaworld Corp.'s Uptown Eastgate tower in Taguig City as the site of a delivery center supporting its global corporate and institutional banking operations, the listed property developer said on Monday.
BNP Paribas Solutions Philippines will occupy office space in the 31-story tower within Megaworld's Uptown Bonifacio township, according to a disclosure to the stock exchange.
The unit already operates a delivery center in Bonifacio Global City, providing shared services that support the banking group's international operations. Manila's prime business districts, Bonifacio Global City among them, have long hosted such back-office and shared-services hubs for global banks and other multinationals, making the capital a recurring destination for corporate support operations.
"BNP Paribas' arrival in Uptown Bonifacio reflects the confidence of global companies in the township as a strategic location for their operations. Master-planned business districts within Megaworld townships provide access to talent, connectivity, mobility, and amenities that support productivity and employee experience," Megaworld Global Offices Head Francisco Ma. D. Roxas said.
Uptown Eastgate offers approximately 100,000 square meters of gross leasable space, with floor plates of up to 5,000 square meters, according to Megaworld. The US Green Building Council awarded the building its Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification in November 2024, a globally recognized sustainability benchmark that frequently features in corporate office leasing decisions.
The township's tenant roster already includes a number of multinational names: JPMorganChase, Google LLC, Tesla, Inc., Coca-Cola Europacific Aboitiz Philippines, Inc., and Reckitt Benckiser (Philippines), Inc. JPMorganChase alone occupies two office towers covering approximately 140,000 square meters, Megaworld said.
Across the development, Uptown Bonifacio accommodates more than 30 local and multinational corporate tenants in seven office towers. Megaworld maintains nearly 900,000 square meters of office space in Bonifacio Global City, representing more than half of its nationwide office portfolio of approximately 1.7 million square meters. The company reported approximately 200,000 square meters of office leasing transactions during the first nine months of 2026 — a closely watched figure for office landlords, since signed leases convert vacant space into recurring rental income that underpins developer earnings.
Megaworld shares rose by 0.45%, or one centavo, to close at P2.25 apiece on Monday.
