Bitwise Solana ETF Surpasses $1 Billion in Assets as SOL Rallies

Bitwise’s BSOL has become the first Solana ETF to surpass $1 billion in assets under management (AUM), while holding approximately 9.3 million SOL.

The broader Solana ETF category has drawn about $1.7 billion in cumulative flows. DeFi Development Corp. also added 19,000 SOL to its holdings, bringing its treasury to approximately 2.33 million SOL.

Spot Solana ETFs have recently drawn attention after posting their strongest stretch of inflows, with $138 million coming in over the past ten days. That trend has unfolded alongside a 15% rise in SOL over the past week, and it reflects a growing test of whether Solana-linked products can sustain demand after an initially active launch period.

Spot Solana ETFs Post Record Inflow Streak

On-chain data from Glassnode shows that spot Solana ETFs have recorded their strongest inflow streak to date. According to Glassnode, these investment vehicles attracted $138 million in net inflows over the last ten days.

The Solana ETFs also recorded a single-day inflow record of $47 million on Tuesday, underscoring growing investor demand for Solana exposure.

Bitwise’s BSOL is leading the market and now holds approximately 9.3 million SOL. Its assets under management have also crossed $1 billion, making it the first Solana ETF to reach that milestone.

Bitwise Leads Solana ETF Market, Goldman Among Key Buyers

Crypto asset manager Bitwise said its spot Solana ETF has surpassed $1 billion in AUM, making it the first firm to reach that level. The Solana ETF category has attracted approximately $1.7 billion in cumulative flows.

Bitwise noted that there has not been a prolonged period of outflows despite the market downturn in the first half of 2026. “Most of the approximately $1 billion of inflows have come in a bear market, an impressive indication of investor conviction,” the firm said.

Bloomberg’s James Seyffart reported that 13F filings also point to strong institutional interest in Solana ETFs. Goldman Sachs is the largest known holder, while investment advisers were major buyers in Q2. Hedge funds were net sellers during the quarter.

SOL Price Rises Amid Institutional Demand

On Aug. 27, SOL rose 13%, extending its August gain to nearly 50%. That marked its strongest monthly performance since 2024.

The move came as the Solana community considered proposals to reduce SOL issuance and increase token burns, which could add further supply pressure. The Solana ecosystem has also completed its validator governance process.

Meanwhile, Nasdaq-listed DeFi Development Corp. bought another 19,000 SOL, increasing its treasury to approximately 2.33 million SOL for long-term holding and staking.

Charles Schwab is also reportedly preparing to add Solana to its Schwab Crypto platform. If completed, the move could make Solana available across approximately 39.9 million brokerage accounts representing about $13.04 trillion in client assets.
