Bitget Wallet Launches Virtual Accounts, Bringing Free USD and EUR Bank Details to 100 Million Users

Bitget Wallet has officially launched Virtual Accounts, a feature that gives users dedicated personal USD and EUR account details directly inside the wallet. The service went live on October 27, 2026, and requires neither local residency nor an in-person branch visit, marking a shift for the platform from crypto storage and trading toward letting users receive traditional currencies. That combination addresses a familiar friction point: receiving dollars or euros through networks like ACH or SEPA has traditionally required an account with a bank in the corresponding region.

What if you could have your own US or EU bank account, with just a few taps? INTRODUCING: Virtual Accounts – dedicated USD & EUR accounts inside Bitget Wallet. Get paid. Receive money. Fund your wallet. No walls. No borders. No banks. Just your money in your wallet.

Bank Transfers Converted Directly Into Stablecoins

The Virtual Accounts service is offered through Noah, a licensed financial infrastructure partner. Users can set up USD and EUR accounts free of charge and receive payments over recognized banking networks, including ACH and Fedwire in the United States, SEPA in Europe, and SWIFT for international transfers.

Incoming deposits are instantly converted into USDT or USDC and credited to the user's self-custodial wallet. Both are dollar-pegged stablecoins — blockchain tokens designed to track the value of the US dollar — and are among the most widely used crypto assets for payments and trading. According to the announcement, this setup allows payments to flow straight into crypto without passing through a centralized exchange or a separate crypto on-ramp.

The stablecoins can then be used across Bitget Wallet's existing services, including card spending, QR payments, cross-border transfers, yield products, and investments in cryptocurrencies and tokenized real-world assets.

The service currently accepts incoming transfers only. Outbound bank transfers are scheduled to be introduced in the coming months, the announcement said. That outgoing leg is a key detail to watch: until it arrives, users can pull money into the wallet but cannot send funds back out to a conventional bank account through this feature.

$500 Transfers Estimated at About $2 in Platform Fees

A central selling point is the potential reduction in cross-border payment costs, particularly for freelancers, beneficiaries of overseas income, and people who work remotely. The estimated platform fee for a $500 ACH transfer through Virtual Accounts is approximately $2.

For comparison, World Bank data shows that the average cost of remittances worldwide is about 6%, or roughly $30 on the same amount. Cutting that cost has been a long-standing goal of international policy efforts, including G20 commitments to lower average remittance prices, because the fees come directly out of the money recipients receive.

The comparison suggests significant potential savings, but the figures are not necessarily comparable in all cases. Additional charges, such as sending-bank fees, blockchain network fees, and third-party fees, may not be included in the estimate.

Who Can Benefit From Virtual Accounts

The feature targets three main groups: crypto users who intend to deposit funds through a traditional bank and convert them into stablecoins; people receiving international remittances; and workers earning salaries from abroad with either a US or European employer.

For eligible users who do not hold foreign-currency bank accounts, a personal USD and EUR account may offer a convenient way to receive foreign-currency payments. Funds received through Virtual Accounts are held “under wallet custody,” meaning they remain in the user's own wallet rather than being deposited in a traditional bank account.

According to Bitget Wallet, the platform has more than 100 million users globally and over $300 million in user protection funds. Virtual Accounts adds a receiving capability to the wallet's broader payment offering, which already includes crypto-linked cards and QR payments. With receiving, card spending, QR payments, and cross-border transfers now combined in one product, the wallet covers much of the day-to-day ground traditionally occupied by a bank account — with funds held in self-custody rather than at a bank.
