Bitget, the world's first Universal Exchange (UEX), announced on October 23 the addition of eight new Contracts for Difference (CFD) trading instruments spanning industrial metals, energy and global equity indices. CFDs are leveraged derivative contracts that let traders take positions on price movements without owning the underlying instrument, and the expansion broadens the exchange's traditional financial market lineup, giving traders access to a wider range of commodities and regional stock markets within its CFD trading ecosystem.
The new instruments cover Aluminium (XALUSD), Zinc (XZNUSD), Lead (XPBUSD) and Low Sulphur Gasoil (GASOIL), alongside four regional equity indices: the Hang Seng TECH Index (HSTECH), the Taiwan RIC Index (TWRICC), the Netherlands 25 Index (NETH25) and the Switzerland 20 Index (SWI20). The metals are widely used base materials with applications across construction, manufacturing and battery production, while Low Sulphur Gasoil serves as a refined-fuel benchmark commonly referenced for diesel and heating demand. The index additions cover Hong Kong-listed technology companies and major equities across Taiwanese, Dutch and Swiss markets. Together, the additions provide exposure to industrial commodity markets and key equity benchmarks across Asia and Europe, enabling traders to take positions based on regional economic developments and broader market trends.
The rollout comes as global markets respond to shifting monetary policies, industrial demand and regional economic conditions. By extending into industrial metals, energy and regional equity indices, Bitget is adding ways for traders to position around macroeconomic trends beyond cryptocurrencies and major currency pairs.
“Crypto is only one part of what people want to trade today. We're seeing growing interest in commodities, stocks and indices, and our platform needs to reflect that,” said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget. “These eight additions give traders more ways to respond to what's happening across global markets. That's the direction we're taking with UEX, bringing more assets and trading opportunities together on Bitget.”
The three industrial metals contracts and the Low Sulphur Gasoil contract offer leverage of up to 20x, while the four equity indices support leverage of up to 50x. Traders can take long or short positions depending on their market outlook, providing additional flexibility to respond to price movements across different asset classes.
All eight instruments are available across Bitget CFD's four account modes — ECN, 0% Fee, Pro and Standard+ — letting users select their preferred trading structure. Each instrument completed liquidity assessments and price stability checks ahead of listing, in line with Bitget's focus on maintaining consistent trading conditions across its expanding product range. The new contracts are integrated into the exchange's existing CFD infrastructure, with product configurations remaining uniform across all four account modes.
The launch marks another step in Bitget's continued expansion of its traditional financial market offerings under its Universal Exchange strategy. Alongside its existing crypto and tokenized asset products, the growing CFD portfolio extends the range of global markets available to users through a single trading ecosystem.
