U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $462.7 million in net outflows during the September 8–11 trading week, while Ethereum ETFs attracted $196.9 million. The contrasting results reflected a sharp shift in investor demand across major crypto assets.
Bitcoin ETFs Face Broad Selling
Bitcoin funds posted net outflows in all four trading sessions. The largest withdrawal came Thursday, when investors pulled $282.7 million from the products. Outflows totaled $46.6 million Tuesday and $120.2 million Wednesday before easing to $13.2 million Friday.
ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF led individual fund losses, with $234.2 million in weekly outflows. Grayscale Bitcoin Trust followed with $129.1 million. BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF lost $52.5 million, while Fidelity’s fund recorded $50.7 million in redemptions.
The selling reversed the trend from the previous trading week, when Bitcoin ETFs recorded $986.7 million in inflows. The latest figures suggest investors became more cautious about Bitcoin exposure as broader financial markets faced renewed inflation and interest-rate concerns.
Ethereum ETF Demand Rebounds
Ethereum ETFs delivered the strongest performance among the major crypto funds. The group entered Friday with a $19.5 million weekly loss, but a $216.4 million inflow during the final session pushed the total into positive territory.
BlackRock’s Ethereum ETF accounted for $148.8 million of Friday’s inflows and finished the week with $139.9 million in net gains. BlackRock’s staked Ethereum product also attracted $55.1 million during the four-session period.
Bitwise’s Ethereum fund added $29.1 million, while VanEck’s product gained $3.7 million. Fidelity’s Ethereum ETF and several Grayscale products, however, posted weekly losses.
Altcoin Funds Post Mixed Results
Solana ETFs recorded a smaller $9.7 million weekly inflow. Most of that gain came Wednesday, when the funds attracted $11.2 million.
Meanwhile, Hyperliquid ETFs posted $26.5 million in net outflows. The contrasting performance across crypto ETFs suggests investors are becoming more selective rather than abandoning digital assets broadly.
The latest flows point to changing institutional preferences. Bitcoin remains the dominant crypto investment vehicle, but Ethereum’s strong late-week inflow shows that demand can shift quickly when market conditions change.
