Binance Restores Withdrawals Across 15 Networks After $6.3B Hack as Outflows Reach $5.8B

Binance has restored withdrawals across 15 blockchain networks as it continues recovering from a security breach involving approximately $6.3 billion in stolen crypto assets. The exchange’s latest additions include Zcash, TON and Sui, while billions of dollars have flowed out of the platform.

According to DefiLlama, more than $5.8 billion in net withdrawals were recorded over a 24-hour period. Binance’s liquidity and users’ response to the hack remain under close scrutiny as the exchange gradually reopens its networks.

Binance said withdrawals were re-enabled for ZEC on Zcash, USDT and GRAM on TON, and SUI on Sui. These networks join previously restored support for Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, XRP Ledger, Base, Dogecoin, Optimism, Arbitrum, Tron, Solana, Polygon and Avalanche C-Chain.

The exchange listed the following withdrawal status in an official post on X:

“We will continue to restore additional assets and networks in phases as security checks are completed. Further updates will be shared through official Binance channels,” Binance said in the post, dated November 1, 2026.

Binance said each network is undergoing security and stability testing before withdrawals are restored. Assets and networks that have not yet cleared those checks remain unavailable for withdrawal in the meantime. The exchange is bringing networks back in phases and plans to provide further updates through its official channels.

Stablecoin Withdrawals Return on Major Chains

Withdrawals of USDT and USDC are already available on several of Binance’s largest supported networks, including Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Solana, Polygon and Arbitrum. These dollar-pegged stablecoins represent a significant portion of exchange liquidity and are frequently used by traders moving between assets and markets on the platform.

Binance has said that additional assets and networks will return after further security checks are completed.

Billions Leave Binance After the Hack

The reopening of withdrawals was followed by heavy outflow activity. DefiLlama recorded $5.8 billion in net outflows, while Binance recorded approximately $3.64 billion in net outflows. Reuters reported that Binance held an estimated $171 billion in customer assets and that the official net outflow represented about 2.1% of those assets.

The withdrawals followed a security breach in which approximately $6.3 billion in crypto assets were stolen. Reuters reported that the FBI attributed the attack to TraderTraitor hackers linked to a North Korean insurgency.

Binance said it covered approximately $6 billion of the lost assets through its Secure Asset Fund for Users and futures insurance fund.

Withdrawal Recovery Tests Binance’s Liquidity

The pace of withdrawals has become one of the clearest indicators of users’ response to the breach. Binance said users requested withdrawals in large numbers after operations resumed, although the pace appeared to have stabilized more recently. The exchange also said that gross withdrawals did not reduce its overall reserves because deposits continued to arrive.

As part of its security response, Binance has created new hot-wallet addresses — the online wallets used to process customer withdrawals — and added them to the exchange’s Proof of Reserves infrastructure, a framework designed to let users verify that customer assets are backed by on-chain reserves.

The movement of funds will remain a key area of attention as Binance restores the remaining networks. The phased reopening is testing the effectiveness of the exchange’s reserves and security measures, as well as users’ confidence, after one of the largest security breaches in the crypto industry’s history.
