Ark Invest bought about $12.2 million worth of SpaceX shares on Tuesday while reducing positions in three finance and crypto-linked companies. The Cathie Wood-led firm purchased 105,108 SpaceX shares across several exchange-traded funds, according to its daily trade disclosure.
SpaceX shares rose 2.56% during the session and closed at $116.41. Even with that gain, the stock has fallen 29% over the past month, giving Ark another lower-price entry point for the investment manager.
Ark Invest Expands Its SpaceX Position
The purchase extended Ark Invest’s recent buying in SpaceX after the company entered public markets in June. The firm has added shares during several price declines as it builds exposure across its actively managed funds.
SpaceX operates launch services, the Starlink satellite network, and other space technology businesses. That mix helps explain why the company draws attention from investors tracking both the commercial space sector and the growing use of satellite communications, even as Ark’s trade notices themselves only show the transactions and not a fuller explanation for each one. Ark has previously tied its long-term SpaceX view to satellite internet demand, lower launch costs, and new commercial uses for orbital infrastructure.
Block, Bullish and Robinhood Positions Decline
Ark Invest sold about $2.3 million of Block shares during Tuesday’s session. Block gained 2.29% and closed at $83.10, but the fund manager reduced the position as part of its portfolio adjustments.
The company also sold roughly $1.6 million of Bullish shares and $4 million of Robinhood shares. Bullish slipped 0.48% to $22.69, while Robinhood fell 3% and finished at $92.76.
Smaller Digital Asset Purchases Continue
Alongside the SpaceX purchase, Ark Invest added about $289,167 of Bitmine shares. It also bought nearly $32,667 of the 3iQ Solana Staking ETF, maintaining limited exposure to other digital asset investments.
Ark regularly adjusts its ETF holdings when share prices or portfolio weights move. The firm generally seeks to prevent a single company from exceeding 10% of a fund’s total assets.
The latest trades show a shift toward SpaceX while Ark lowers exposure to selected financial technology companies. The changes do not mean the firm has exited Block, Bullish, or Robinhood, since each remains subject to future daily rebalancing.
Tuesday’s activity also followed earlier SpaceX purchases made during recent weakness. In that sense, the trade fits Ark’s broader habit of adding to preferred holdings after sharp declines while trimming positions that have grown larger within a fund. Daily trade notices provide a record of these changes, although they do not explain every reason behind each transaction.
