Arden Appoints Brad Perilman as Chief Financial Officer

Arden Insurance Services LLC, a high-growth, tech-enabled managing general underwriter (MGU), has named Brad Perilman as its Chief Financial Officer. Perilman brings more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning the insurance, reinsurance and specialty brokerage industries, and will oversee Arden’s finance organization as the company enters its next phase of growth. In the MGU model, specialized underwriters such as Arden develop and administer insurance programs on behalf of carrier partners — a segment that has become a significant distribution channel in U.S. specialty insurance, with MGA/MGU underwriting premium measured in the tens of billions of dollars annually.

“Brad’s proven track record of helping high-growth insurance businesses navigate periods of rapid expansion makes him an ideal addition to our leadership team,” said Brian Cohen, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Arden. “Together with James Conway’s recent appointment as Chief Accounting Officer, we’ve assembled a finance leadership team with the expertise and operational discipline to support Arden’s continued growth.”

Perilman joins Arden from Integrated Specialty Coverages (ISC), where he served as Chief Financial Officer. He previously held the same role at Atlas General Holdings and occupied executive leadership positions at Worldwide Facilities and Aon Benfield Securities, where he advised insurance companies on strategic transactions and capital markets initiatives. Each of those roles sits within the specialty distribution and delegated-authority space Arden occupies, giving the incoming CFO direct familiarity with the program economics and carrier relationships that define MGU platforms.

“I’m excited to join Arden at such a pivotal point in its evolution,” said Perilman. “Arden has built a differentiated platform, an outstanding reputation in the specialty insurance market and a leadership team with a clear vision for the future. I look forward to partnering with the team to build on that foundation and capitalize on the significant opportunities ahead.”

In his new role, Perilman will partner closely with James Conway, combining complementary expertise in financial strategy, accounting and corporate development to strengthen Arden’s finance function. Conway joined Arden earlier this year to oversee accounting, financial reporting and internal controls, bringing more than 10 years of accounting and finance experience gained in roles at Alvarez & Marsal, Trintech and KPMG. Finance leadership depth is a common priority for MGUs at Arden’s scale, where carrier capacity partners and private equity investors alike require rigorous program-level reporting and controls.

The appointments come during a period of continued momentum for Arden. Since FTV Capital’s growth equity investment in 2024, the company has continued to expand its platform and executive leadership team while building on its strong market position. FTV Capital is a growth equity firm focused on financial services and enterprise technology companies, part of the private capital that has increasingly targeted MGA/MGU platforms in recent years. In 2025, Arden surpassed $375 million in in-force premium and received multiple industry honors, including MGA of the Year from The Insurer as well as Intermediary of the Year and Best Places to Work in Insurance from Business Insurance. The Insurer and Business Insurance are established trade publications covering the insurance industry.
