Anchored to Launch Tokenized Stocks on Arbitrum with Uniswap Integration

Anchored, a digital infrastructure provider for capital markets, plans to launch its tokenized stocks on Arbitrum, an Ethereum layer-2 scaling network, together with Uniswap, a decentralized exchange protocol. The initial route will use UniswapX, allowing users to access the assets through onchain infrastructure. UniswapX adds a routing system based on requests for quotes and third-party solvers to connect trades with available liquidity.

The tokenized stocks will be backed 1:1 by the underlying assets and will support onchain issuance, redemption, and settlement in USDC. Anchored said the launch is designed to make tokenized stocks available through infrastructure already used by wallets, liquidity providers, and market makers.

Tokenized stocks are blockchain-based digital representations of traditional equity securities. Anchored is issuing them on Arbitrum, one of the largest Ethereum layer-2 networks, which is designed to process transactions with lower fees and higher throughput than the Ethereum mainnet while settling them on Ethereum. Uniswap is among the most widely used decentralized trading protocols in decentralized finance (DeFi), and USDC is a US dollar stablecoin issued by Circle that is commonly used for onchain settlement.

The launch places Anchored among a growing set of firms bringing traditional financial assets onchain. BlackRock's BUIDL tokenized liquidity fund, launched on Ethereum in March 2024, and Franklin Templeton's on-chain government money funds have driven growth in tokenized funds, while 2025 brought a new wave of tokenized-stock offerings, including Robinhood's stock tokens for EU customers — issued on Arbitrum — and Kraken's xStocks, launched with Swiss tokenization firm Backed for non-US markets.

Proponents of tokenized equities point to potential benefits such as trading around the clock outside conventional exchange hours, near-instant settlement, and composability with DeFi, where tokens can be used, for example, as collateral in lending protocols. Access, however, remains subject to securities law: tokenized securities generally fall under existing regulatory frameworks — in the EU, the MiFID II regime — which shapes how and to whom they can be offered.

The launch is expected to support further integrations with wallets, DeFi protocols, and other liquidity venues. Looking further ahead, Anchored said its plans include tokenized funds, IPO access, and infrastructure for pre-IPO and private assets.
